So will you actually get 3 $5 gift cards? One for spending 20 and 2 for buying 4 copper tone products?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh yes! Thanks for catching that Laura! Just updated!

  2. Jennifer

Do you get a $5 gift card with each 2 products purchased? Wouldn’t you then get 3 gift cards worth $5 each?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes! Thanks for catching! Just fixed!

  3. Alikia29

I had them check on the $5 gc for buying 2 last week and it didn’t trigger

    • Kendra

Did they end up giving it to you? I saw the promotion on their website but it says target.com so I’m not sure if it’s only valid online?

  4. stacey

no sunscreen here triggering gift card w purchase of 2 sunscreens, ymmv

    • Happymama

Thanks, that’s probably the case for us too. Target offers and prices are always so much higher at my local stores.

  5. Cristine

anyone who got the gift card want to say what they got? I want to make sure I get ones included in the promo. Thanks!

  6. MommaRhonda

I tried ordering online to see if it triggered and it didn’t. 🙁

  7. Hart

does anyone know if this really works as describe in store

  8. garyandbre

It worked for me just now, but it’s not on the $7.99 spray bottles of Water Babies. It works on the $8.99 lotion bottles that are 8 oz. I bought four bottles and used two of the $3 off coupons and got three $5 gift cards. I took a few kinds up to the register to see which ones triggered the gift card promo…

    • Melissa

Thanks! Did you try the water babies for 8.99 as well?

      • nin

I just bought 2 of the Coppertone Waterbabies Pure and SImple (zinc oxide one) and $8.99 each and 1 face coppertone stick $4.89 Total=b4tax $22.87) and it gave the personal care $5 gc and the Coppertone $5 gc. There were signs up in my store though

        • Melissa

I just left the store, got the up and up sprays kids sunscreens at 6.39 and every 2 prompted a gc! The signs were up, and also used the 5 off 20, got $15 in gc back! Thank you!

  9. Emily

Already tried the sunscreen deal and it doesn’t trigger a gc and it’s no where in the ad.

  10. Melissa

I bought two Hawaiian tropic sunscreens in store on Sunday- there was signage everywhere for it. But the sunscreen did not trigger a gift card. The cashier was super nice and gave me one anyways- he manually added a $5 gift card and then did a $5 coupon.

  11. Stacey

I tried using the sunscreen deal from the weekly deals post and it was very selective. There are very few sunscreens that fit at my local Target and they were all more than $7.99. It was actually only one display, too, and not back with the whole sunscreen selection.

  12. nin

Can you use the $5 off $20 personal care mobile coupon more than once? Was there one in the Target flyer in the newspaper?

    • nin

Ooops, see above that it was in the paper. Can you use a mobile coupon more than once though? (I don’t get the paper)

I got lotion and I actually need more of the face sticks. Wonder if they will trigger the $5 gc. Anyone know?

      • mel

The mobile offer seems to allow you to redeem multiple times. The last time there was a GC offer, I used the mobile offer 3 times during the wk. It doesn’t grey out or say redeemed like the mobile coupon list of offers, which those are one-time use.

  13. tanya

I was able to get this but only for 1 pair of sunscreens and it was super complicated. I had to add 2 Coppertone Waterbabies (the exact one above) to my cart. Then I had to add something else to my cart to get the total above $20. At that time, both the $5 GC for spending $20 in beauty AND the $5 GC for the Coppertone deal showed up in the cart. Despite that the 2 sunscreens should have triggered the deal on their own, they did not until I added something else. THEN, the note about the Coppertone deal showed up, but it was unclear whether another card was going to arrive so I messaged with Target customer service. The person I spoke with could not seem to understand that I was talking about 2 different deals so in the end he just agreed to personally send me a $5 GC. I will let you know how many GCs actually come with the order. Oh, the other complicated thing was that this exact sunscreen was the only one that seemed to trigger the deal, despite the promotions being for Coppertone, Hawaiian Tropics, Neutragena, and Banana Boat. AND I have to pick it up in store, AND, target.com would only allow me to order 2, not 4. Haha, so it’s doable but not without a lot of issues.

  14. Ashley

Is anyone else having trouble trying to get the movie tickets? My message is rejected every time I try to send it. Also, at my Target store the double packs were the only ones that earned a gift card if you bought two.

  15. Jessica

I went today and the Coppertone Water Babies (shown in Colin’s pic) wasn’t included. The Coppertone Kids 8.0oz spray with Finding Dory was included. I used two $3/2 coupons and 2 $1 coupons that I printed from the coppertone website. The deal wasn’t as cheap because this sunscreen was $8.99, but I needed it for vacation anyway so it was still a great deal!

  16. Heikes

I’m having problems loading the $3/2 coupon. Is it still working for others?

    • tina

      I’m having problems too

  17. Stephanie

Didn’t work today in Austin 🙁

  18. Randi Garcia

The Cost in Orange county, CA Each $13.99 HOWEVER, they left me use the “twin pack” at $12.99 each.
    2 @ 12.99 25.98
    TWO $3.00
    subtotal $19.98
    Redcard savings $0.75
    Tax 8% $1.38
    Total $20.61
    Gift card payment $5.00
    PAID: $15.61
Got $5.00 gift card, so really paid $10.61 or $2.61 each for the spray, lotion was cheaper @ $10.99 each.

Lets see if this goes through for free ticket worth up to $12.00

    • mel

No, you paid $15.61, not $10.61. Since you used a previous GC as payment, all you did was roll $5 from one deal to another, that essentially cancels each other out. Even if you had no GC to use, your OOP is $20.61, get $5 back. You can’t double count the GCs, either you count them when you earn them (so it’s “like” you paid $15.61), or when you use it a later time.

      • Randi Garcia

True Mel, my CURRENT out of pocket is $10.61 which REALLY helped me at this point in time:)

  19. Christine

Didn’t work and there weren’t any signs online or in store indicating that you got a 5 GC with two. Fail…

  20. Charidy

I followed the details put in the above explanation and what Jessica said about the 2 coupons from coppertone website. What a deal. Waiting on movie ticket rebate now. Thanks for all of the hours your team spends save my us money. I am not going be for just getting items for the sake of getting them. But we have our pool up now and summer is here in KS. So these will be used well. Thanks for all of the help. Also I had never used the mobile coupon as well as paper and cartwheel. I found a cashier lane that was empty and told her and she was extremely patient with me. Be sweet, is the lesson here!!! Thanks for everything!!! Day made. Week made!!!

  21. Cioci

I got the deal today, I noticed it was only certain Coppertones that were part of the GC deal. There’s also a 5% cartwheel. My deal worked in Atlanta, GA. Hoping the movie tickets work as well!

  22. Amy

Worked for me in MA last week. I submitted my receipt, and it was verified, but how will I receive my Fandango code? Thinking about going to see the movie tomorrow!
