What does soft home clearance mean? Thank you.

    • Mona

It probably means towels, covers, comforters, etc but not electronic home goods.

      • Roxy

        Thank you.

  2. April

Is there a link to this offer it keeps trying to get me to change my personal shopper?

    • Catie

Looks like it’s in store only

      • Roxy

It must be in store only. It won’t show points back when I try to order online.

  3. kyan

Is this on summer stuff… ?? Anyone have an idea?

  4. Queenjen87

Anyone tested if these points are rolling?

    • rebecca

the earned points can’t be used until July 31st. they aren’t immediate, is that what you mean? you can’t get the points and then use them to buy something else the same day.

  5. laurat

Kmart in sd had similar deal $10 spent on womens clearance, get $10 back in pts.

  6. Elise

Is this something u have to load to your account or is it just automatic when you give them your info?

    • kay

Automatic as long as your store is participating – the signs need to be up or they don’t have to honor it

The Sears in Arlington TX had a deal like this last week. The sign stated for every $10 in women’s clearance apparel purchased receive $10 back in syw points max up to $100 dollars earned in syw points. I spent $77 and received $70 back in points. Pretty Awesome deal!!!

  8. ali

Collin, also overlaps with the $10 back in points on a $50 purchase for everyone. I spent $50 on women’s clearance clothing and got $60 back in points!!

  9. Shazia

I’m assuming no one could roll points?

    • kay

Correct – deals like this require you to pay oop to get the points back (any % back or spend x amount to get x amount will never let you roll points)

  10. Melissa Simpson

If I purchase items with points, will I get the points in return as well? Thanks!

    • kay

No not with this type of deal – you have to pay oop to get the points back

      • Melissa Simpson

        Good to know, thanks!

    • Lisa

I paid with points and got $10 back in points-in store- AND a coupon printed from the register saying that I have the exact same offer loaded to my card valid starting the next day. I did pay some oop since I used my $11 in pts on a $46 total purchase. Yep, I’m going back to kmart later this week. I don’t think it will work online.

Please help. I am confused with the rules of all the different store programs.

I bought a Roku from Sears and received about $40 of Shop Your Way Points. They were getting close to the expiration date so I bought a few items (using the points) with the intention of returning the items later and receiving a gift card. That way, I could buy myself time and buy something that I really wanted/needed at a later date. The Sears rep on the phone told me I would get a gift card when I returned the items that I bought with my Shop Your Way Points.

Well, I went to return the items a few days later and the clerk said they couldn’t issue a gift card for the SYWPs that I used. So, am I stuck with the useless items that I bought or is there some other way?

    • Ada

Hi, your SYW points goes back to your account from my past experience, not a gift card.your receipt would indicate the points credited back to your account.

    • kay

The only other way is to say you received them as a gift and not give them your account info – then they can give it back as a gc from my experience (but they will give you the lowest amount possible the the items sold for in the last x amount of days)

    • Mindy

I returned clothes in the past that my daughter didn’t like, they told me the points would be post within 24 hours but never did. So I called customer service and they credited points back into my account.

    • Just Me

I was told I would have to return the item before the points were originally supposed to expire. I kinda hate points unless I know a big sale is going to happen. I’ve got a small Sears.

    • Chantal

Thank you to all of you that were so kind to reply. I truly appreciate your help!!!

  12. Sarah

Yay! Thank you!! I missed it last month ๐Ÿ™‚

yes it earn points back in store & redeem in store or online ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. Lisa

My Kmart had something similar as well. Great time of year to buy clothes!

  14. Karin

Just went to my dears in Michigan. They have extra 30% 0ff clearance apparel but no SYW points. So disappointed!

  15. Angel

@Chantal: No you can just return the items you bought and the points will go back on your account. However, any points you earned from the order that you are returning will be forfeit. I have been able to get the gift card by speaking to a manager, but that was only when something was wrong with the system (I used a Visa Credit Card to pay for part of the purchase and that could not be refunded, so I got fully refunded for points and all).

    • Chantal

Thank you, Angel! I appreciate your help!

  16. kristin

Does it take a while for the points to post to your account? We didn’t see signs for either deal, but the clothes rang up the extra 30 so we assumed the reward point deal was probably going on to. But I’d like to know for sure asap

    • kay

It should show you earned them on your receipt and they should officially be added to your account 24hrs after purchase – not all stores have this promo though so if there were no signs chances are you won’t get the points back

    • Jennifer

No signs at my store and I asked at the check out about this deal. They called the manager who said it was only at specific stores across the country and our store in Ohio was not a participating store. They acted like not very many stores were participating in the deal. Congrats to those whose stores offered this!

      • Just Me

Yeah no signs at Mansfield Sears.

        • Just Me

          I saw signs today!

          • Jennifer

            Me too :)!

  17. Amy

So if I spend $20 do I get $20 back in points??? Thanks.

  18. Dawn

Just spent $31 and got $30 back in points! Clearance was still an extra 30% off but there were no signs indicating that. Luckily I thought to price check an item to see before I got to the register. Otherwise it would’ve been a mess ๐Ÿ˜‰ And I finally found a dress for an upcoming wedding!!! Score!!!!

  19. Anita

I did this deal MANY times today.at my Sears. The limit is $50 per transaction. I kept ringing out in $50 increments which gave me $60 in SYW rewards each time. I did make the mistake of trying to use points and it didn’t give me all of my points, so just be sure everything is ringing up on clearance and don’t use points. I think there was a limit of $100 earlier this month but this time the only limit is $50 per transaction. Hope this helps.

  20. Jessica A

i made a purchase on the 25th and my store had signs up for this deal…but no points have been added to my account ? Not sure what to do

    • Cindy

Points won’t post til July 31
