    Thanks Collin! Got a $100 Starbucks gc for $84! Marked down 6% originally ($94) + $10 off!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome score Melissa! You’re most welcome!

    • Blessed

Just a caution I have commented on this before but I just want people to be aware of this. If I were you I would not add this to your existing Starbucks account because if Starbucks gets a chargeback from that gift card. They can close your account and take any money that you had previously on your account. Apparently Raise will refund your money if within their timeline and guidelines. I learned this by my credit card being using fraudulently to purchase Starbucks gift cards. I was able to get my money back from my bank. This scam has been going on for years. They will use credit card to purchase Starbucks gift cards online. They can go in some states and get cash if gift card amount less than a certain amount, they sell to re-sellers or sell outright themselves. It takes a while for it to catch up.It could be perfectly legitimate where someone sold to Raise because they didn’t want the card. As a precaution I would not add to your existing account.

      • Reyna Rangel

Yes, true. I wouldn’t add it to my existing Starbucks account either. I have also had problems with Rise. Therefore, I wouldn’t purchase any more gift cards from them. It is not worth the hassle of contacting them. Just a waste of time.

        • Raise

Hi Reyna, we’re sorry to hear your Raise experience has been a hassle. Our Member Services Team is available by phone, email, or chat to assist should you have a question or concern. If you are still in need of a resolution, please email member.success@raise.com and we’d be happy to help!

      • Tina

Great. 🙁 I just added it and used it online. Starbucks has a 25% off one item sale. Celebrate25

  2. Cambria

Awesome! Got a $32 Target gift card for $22 with the two codes!! Thank you 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay! You’re welcome!

  3. Hope

I bought a $25 e-gift card for a gift….. when I went to give it .. the balance was $7.25. Turns out they sold mine as an e-gift and someone else has the physical card. … Watch out!! Because I went to give the $25 gift after the 100 days they would not do anything about it, so I was out $20…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear about that 🙁 Thanks for sharing your experience!

    • Raise

We’re sorry to hear that, Hope! Our 100-Day Guarantee is in place to protect your purchase price up to 100 days after the order date. We’d love to look into this further though. Would you mind sending us an email to member.success@raise.com with your order number?

  4. $Pincher

I just received a $700 Lowe’s gift card from raise and when I went to use it, it had a $0 balance. Raise has a 100% money back guarantee but now I have to mail the card back so they can physically go to the store to verify the balance and then refund my money. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get lost in the mail and I’m out the money.

    • cbeths

I would defnintely pay the extra $5 to have tracking and/or signature when it is received. $700 is a huge amount to lose!

    • daisy

um no offense but $700 gift card?! good luck getting that back

    • Linda

All they have to do is call lowes CS # and then they will get the balance of the gift card. They don’t have to go to the store. That doesn’t seem right. Reason being is that I ordered a target gift card from Raise when I went to use it, it had no balance the raise CS person checked the balance on the phone for me. I would call them again

      • Raise

You’re right, Linda. Most brands allow you to give their hotline a call for all gift card information. Unfortunately, Lowe’s is a little different. We’ve got a dedicated team here who reaches out to these brands based on their individual processes to get the information we need.

  5. susan

I always feel like the killjoy saying to beware of Raise, but having had a bad experience of someone else using the card after I received it, and seeing all of the other readers’ comments about their bad experiences, it makes me wonder why this website keeps getting promoted.

    • Raise

We’re sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience, Susan! Our 100-Day Guarantee means your purchase is protected up to 100 days after the order date. If you’re still in need of a resolution, please let us know! You can email support@raise.com with the subject line “Hip2Save Help” and a member of our team will get back to you ASAP!

  6. Mel

Saved HUGE by buying a high dollar Cabela’s gift card for my husband (set the price alerts, they are the best way to grab rare cards quickly) and we were able to get the tent that we have been wanting for over $100 off (after sale/coupon/raise card purchase)
My best advice is to use the cards as soon as you get them – so that the customer service team can help you if there are issues. I also buy Whole Foods gift cards because it is almost impossible to find other ways to save there. Thank you for sharing these!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the great feedback Mel! You’re very welcome!

  7. Lindsey

Read reviews online before buying. There are a lot of customer complaints about the gift cards becoming worthless after 100 days. Also, having worked in retail, I know that many of these gift cards are being purchased in a unethical kind of way (coupon scam, credit card scam, and stealing merchandise to return on a giftcard). This is not something that I would want to take part in just to save a few dollars!

  8. Hayden

Raise is terrible. I once signed up for two accounts because the first one was never credited with five dollars. Then when I used my second account (never touched the first) they closed the first account and the rude customer service rep that had to call and verify me, treated me like a criminal. He said that I wasn’t allowed to have that 5 dollar credit because I wasn’t new. Although the only reason I signed up the second time was because I never received my free five dollar credit. He didn’t care. He said he took the 5 dollar credit off. I wasn’t allowed to have it. I asked why he said “YOU BROKE THE RULES!” or something to that effect, very angrily. And then I finally talked to him and told him it wasn’t intentional or to do anything fraudulent. He seemed to chill out for a second, but only to tell me that I could ask another department and if they were nice then they might credit me with the five dollars. I asked that department and they said that they would refund my credit card that 5 dollars since the verifier took it off and that wasn’t right, since I didn’t intend on breaking the rules. BUT I never saw that refund and didn’t dare call again.. It’s been a year.

I use other gift card websites now.

Hey there Hayden! This is absolutely not the experience we want to be providing for our members. While we don’t permit the use of multiple accounts for one member, we completely understand that it was not your intention to misuse this system. We’d love the opportunity to make this right with you. If you have a moment, please email support@raise.com with the subject line “Hip2Save Help” and one of our customer service agents will be happy to assist you!

      • Hayden

Just to update, I sent an email and still haven’t heard back. Even included Hip2Save in the title as I was instructed.

        Nada.

  9. GA

I’m never using Raise again either. I ordered a $400 PetCo card and it came up as reported lost or stolen on the register. I felt like a loser, a criminal, etc. I hate that there are so many bad people in the world. I have to work extremely hard to stretch my $80 a month budget so Raise was a big help for pet food… not anymore.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

“Oh no! Sorry to hear that. 🙁 They do have a customer service department that can help answer any questions. They have personally promised me that they will take care of Hip2Save readers. You can chat with them on Raise.com or email support@raise.com (put Hip2Save Reader in the subject line) or call: 888-578-8422 for phone support”

  10. Lynn

Don’t know where to post but don’t forget to use your $10 e-cards from the $50 Amazon prime day gift card purchases. The promotional code ends today. If you don’t use it, you lose it.

    • Emily

Where did you find your credit?? I never found mine

    • M

Thank you for the reminder! I almost lost the credit!!

      Credit appears at checkout
      Prime Day GC Promo: -$10.00.
But it seems like it only works on item sold by Amazon.

  11. Caitlin

WOW! I’ve been following for a long time Collin, and I’ve never seen so many consistent and negative customer experiences reported in comments before. After reading everyone’s comments I’m definitely not doing this deal. And Hip2Save, I’d reconsider posting this deal if so many people have been scammed/lost $100s of dollars.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there Caitlin! I do know the Raise team personally and if any issues were to arise they do have a customer service department that can help answer any questions. Raise has personally promised me that they will take care of Hip2Save readers. You can chat with them on Raise.com or email support@raise.com (put Hip2Save Reader in the subject line) or call: 888-578-8422 for phone support” Hope this helps!

  12. riss

I was gonna get the starbucks deal; good thing I read the comments first! I never heard of Raise, but I don’t think I’ll be dealing with them in the future, no matter how good the deal is, not after these bad reviews.

  13. Cheyenne

Does anyone know how long it takes for a referral credit to show up. I referred my sister who made a purchase but I have not received my 5 dollars yet.

    • Raise

Great question, Cheyenne! As soon as your sister has created her account using your referral code and made her first purchase, your credit should show in your account. Of course, if you’re having any difficulty with this, please email us at support@raise.com with the subject line “Hip2Save Help” so we can look into this!

  14. Patricia Sennett

I also bought a gift card that also didn’t have the Value I purchased… Raise did refund me but that didn’t help the embarassment at the restaurant nor the awkwardness of waiting while DH ran to ATM to get cash to pay the bill.

  15. Debbie

Raise has always handled my refund requests promptly. You can save money with Raise gift cards, but you do need to invest considerable time and effort to protect your money. Since the purchase is protected up to 100 days after the order date, I use a Sharpie to write that date on the gift card upon receipt, along with my Raise order number. Raise’s number is in my cell as a contact. The date reminds me to use it before the 100 days is up. I also check the balance the day I receive the cards. I just ordered three and one was good, one had a zero balance and one showed it was never activated. I would never buy a card from them to gift to someone else, because I’m finding too many issues with the cards. Also, definitely check your card balances online before heading out the door to use the cards to avoid disappointment or embarrassment! Additionally, I keep track of when the cards are used and how much was spent. Sometimes the card(s) are good for several purchases and suddenly the balance goes to zero. Raise has asked me if I used the cards and to estimate how much I spent, then refunded me the difference.

  16. S

If you know them personally then if they are scamming innocent card holders whether intentionally or not then you will be held liable. Most importantly lose our trust. I am not ok with someone else having a physical card while I have the numbers. Sounds like a scam and raises a red flag. I would not touch this “deal”. I used to be a former prosecutor and raises red flags to me. Raise probably does not screen theses gift cards and could be stolen cards from innocent victims.

  17. Katie

Got mine yesterday and used today no issues!!
