Just an fyi, the company is closing this part of their business in March next year.

  2. Wilton

From my understanding, Disney is going to stop making these. I guess that explains why they are marked down so cheap.

  3. CW

The Dory figures were the last produced and released in June. The entire program is in the process of completely shutting down, including access to everything online and Toy Boxes, shut down phased in between now and March 2017. Very sad. This is the second time Disney has done this, the other was their VMK program, which was free. But this cost everyone hundreds of dollars.

I got one for my husband! Sad they won’t be making anymore games, etc like this 😀😩😬😀

Yep Disney is completely pulling out of the console gaming business.

Gamestop also has them for $4.99. I went ahead and got this for my kids when it was the cartwheel 60% off deal, and WOW. They’ve not even played the levels because they won’t get out of the toybox mode. It’s very reminesent of like Minecraft or something, but in a disney or star wars or marvel universe. Just absolutly amazing. They put in the radio disney player in one of their houses, and are dancing while sliding down Phineas and Ferbs waterslide, and swinging from ropes through the jungle like Tarzan, and all of this they made. Just absolutly the best game ever.

      Thanks for the feedback Sarah!

Wow, agreed CW. We don’t own one of these sets, but I do know one of the children in my home was begging for one last Christmas, but I couldn’t afford to get them both it and a new iPad & the iPad won out. It would have cost up to 200$ to get the base set and a couple of extra figures. Feel sorry now for people who bought them. The least they could do is continue online access to use of them & just stop manufacturing new ones, but cutting it out all together and essentially turning the ones people spent so much on into cartoon paperweights? That’s a pretty unethical business decision if you ask me.

    • CW

Absolutely agree. They could at least keep the online part running. But they laid off all the VMK workers. Then the entire group that made Epic Mickey (we have a photo with all of them) all lost their jobs- that whole division. Now the Disney Infinity team. It’s not like they (Disney) can’t afford to keep the online part running and keep their jobs. It’s a good thing they are out of the business though, because we will never buy from them again. Sad.

toysrus has them extremely cheap too.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Was that in store? I am not finding them this cheap from Toys R Us online, now as I search through.

  8. Karen

Gamestop is running a dealnof buy 2 get 3 for free wich makes it even a better deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Thanks for sharing! Is that in store? I do not find that online.

  9. Scnewport

This is a HUGE disappointment in my house. We have almost all the figures & now we won’t be able to play them for very long. Some of these sets were $35/piece.

I never got the chance to play this, but my three year old loves looking at the figures. For $3, I personally feel like they’d still make fun toys to play with. But I think it really stinks for everyone who spent so much on such an expensive game and everything that went with it. 😟

    • Lexi

My son has fun playing with the figures too. Especially the star wars ones!

  11. ashley

Everyone postijg that they wont be abls to play this anymore…only the online mode wont work after a certain point. You can still play toy box mode. Yes it is a disappointment but it can still work.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the feedback Ashley! Good to know!

  12. Kristi S

You can play them, you just can’t access the online part. You just can’t play with worlds that other players have made. My kiddos enjoy it because like a previous poster said, it’s like minecraft in that one can build their own little worlds.

  13. Jen

If you get the playset pieces you will still be able to play the games involved with those. You can also create your own Toy Box world and play those. The only thing that’s ending in March is the online access. My kids don’t have online access anyway so it’s not a problem. It’s a great deal and my kids play with them as figurine toys and in the video game. Sad to see them go but glad we could snag great deals on the last batch. 🙂 The toys are good quality and have held up well over the past few years. We have had Disney Infinity since the first batch of them.
