Please do not purchase this cat litter! Theres posts all over the internet of cats having serious health issues like hard breathing, bleeding, organ issues, chewing of feet, etc! I’ve never been so horrified and want your babies safe!

I think their regular clumping litter is a better deal anyway right now. Never used the lightweight, but have had no problems with the regular Tidy Cat in the big yellow pails.

      Thanks for your feedback!

My cats hated this litter. I tried it, and one of 2 refused to go in the litter box and did all of her business right outside. We never had these issues with any other kind. Everything went back to normal and consistent use of the box when. I switched back to the regular Tide clay litter. My cat is pretty sensitive to textures and there must have been something that didn’t feel right to her.

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear that you Cats did not do well with this variety! Thanks for sharing your experience!

I bought Fresh Step new lower dust formula Worst thing EVER!!!!! My brand new house dust everywhere!!!!!!!!! literally everywhere my cats reek of the odor from the litter. It was ALL dust!!!! I did not know my one cat ( I have 2) quit using the box and started using the floor on my NEW carpet in my 10 month old son’s room!!!! Now I need new carpet!!! I’m beginning to hate pets. not to be mean. My cat also lost his lunch and I have stains on my NEW carpet! Don’t buy fresh step you will regret it.

So sorry to hear about your experience with the Fresh Step Litter! 🙁 Thanks for sharing!

Don’t hate pets. They have no fault. They can’t separate the wrong from the right.

    • Nicole

Sounds like you shouldn’t be a pet parent in the first place. Your cats go outside of the litter box because something is wrong with the box. It is your job as the care taker to fix it.

If you love your house more than a pet family member maybe a pet is not for you. Cat litter is very personal for some cats. Changing it can cause issues. Non-scented brands are best for most cats. Also going outside of the box is the number one red flag for health issues with cats. They do not show pain until it is really bad and this is their way of telling us something is wrong. If your cat starts going outside of the box get him/her to the vet for a full check up. They do not want to be “bad” they just want to feel better. 😉

I have 1 house cat and 1 dog and I’ve been using this cat litter.
I did not know about health issues. But so far he’s doing great.
And my cat and dog gets checkup from vet once a year.
    They doing great …..
Anyway, thank you for your great work always, Collin and team!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re very welcome! Happy to hear this litter has been working well for your cat! Thanks for the review!

With the subscribe and save, the regular clumping cat litter comes out to be just a little over $5.00 (mine was $5.07) for the 35-lb. size delivered to your door. Pretty nice deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for sharing! Just added an update! 😉

I didn’t like the lightweight – it was too dusty. In my Target they have the buy 3 get $10 gift card, and there’s $1 off on coupons.com.
