I have an older edition of this deal but probably the same machine and it’s pretty good for me. Sometimes I don’t get the charging cord completely plugged in so it doesn’t charge but beyond that and the experience of upgrading to Windows 10- not the machine’s fault- it’s been a handy little machine.
Thanks for the helpful feedback Traci! Glad to hear it has worked well for you!
another device to print coupon from tempting …………………….lol
😉
I bought a chromebook awhile ago when i was still in school and really really didn’t like it. I ended up returning it after a few days to spend a bit more on a fully functioning laptop. I highly highly recommend researching based on your needs before making a purchase of one.
Thanks for the honest feedback Amy!
Why do some people reply based on ignorance. Chromebooks are a wonderful–no need to spend 500-600 bucks when 200 or less is sufficient for cloud based computing and you won’t have to deal with an easily infected Microsoft OS. Many people need a laptop for nothing more than browsing and email. Chromebooks are catching on because they are lightweight, easy to travel with, cloud based, virus free and 1/2 the price of most laptops. I suppose if you’re in school and someone else buys your laptop then price is not an issue…..Regarding the chromebooks posted above…make sure you have no issues with buying a refurb with a short warranty plus Asus does not have a great return policy but with that said Chromebooks are a terrific product. Happy shopping.
Ignorance would be if she was speaking without experience, however she stated she did own one. Why would you assume she can’t purchase her own computer because she’s in school? She’s allowed to have an opinion about the chrome book just like you are. I too had a chrome book and didn’t like it and returned it for a laptop. I wasn’t comfortable with the cloud and needed the features of a laptop. To each their own.
I agree and well said. I own both a chrome book and laptop and I like my laptop much better.
I was researching a chromebook for my son but found out that its not compatible with some games such as minecraft. So unfortunately it would not work out for us.
Check out the Lenovo Ideapad on the best buy app, it can play minecraft 🙂
I don’t see how someone trying to inform people that Chromebooks aren’t the same as fully-functioning laptops and suggesting to research the product before buying is akin to ignorance. Some people may not have realized that fact and it’s nice to get that information before jumping into such a purchase.
Also, not everyone who goes to school has everything paid for by someone else. I’m a college student in my forties and nobody pays for anything for me and money is very tight, hence my frequenting of this sight for deals. I would imagine many students are in the same position.
Barb, not everyone wants a “cloud-based” system. I agree with Amy. Yes, they are a great machine for web searching and such but it’s not for everyone. To each his own. Your comment was a bit abrasive and you’re assumption that the commenter was ignorant on the subject is actually an ignorant thing to assume.
We love our chromebook. Kids do all their school assignments on google doc.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for the review!
Chromebooks are great! It is wise to research how to print from them and also know that you cannot use a CD-ROM with them. Fabulous price! We may get one of these for homeschool.
Oh cool! Thanks for sharing! Good to know!
I was going to buy one of these but then I saw the app only, one day deal on a Lenovo Ideapad for only $109! It seems more like an actual laptop 🙂
Isn’t Ideapad a Chromebook as well Lindsey?
