This is perfect! Here is the breakdown that I did. (If you have the offer on at least 2 cards) then to maximize the benefit …
    (No Commercials plan)

    1) Start your subscription TODAY because it expires on 2/4/2017.

    2) Purchase the 11.99 no commercials plan for 3 months (so you pay for August, September, and October)
    $11.99 * 3 = $35.97
    – $25 Statement Credit
    = $10.97 for 3 months or $3.66 per month.

    3) Before November 4th 2016, update the credit card to your other AMEX card with the Hulu Offer…. so that it charges the other card starting November 4th

    4) Only then the final charge will hit your account on February 4th, 2017, the day the offer expires. Otherwise you will be short $1.02 ($11.99 * 2 months = $23.98) and will not receive the $25 statement credit.

    5) You will spend a total of $21.94 total for 6 months of commercial free Hulu!

This is the best deal I’ve seen on Hulu in a while.

Can you prepay for 3 months?

Or will the $11.99 charge per month and Amex will be crediting 2 month $11.99 charges?

It says one time credit so do we have to spend the whole $25 at Hulu at once?

      • Hilary

If anyone tries this, I’m interested to know if you can pay 3 months up front. Or could you buy a gift card and load it to your account?

      • Blossom

Unfortunately we can’t prepay. They’ve disabled the option to purchase gift codes / gift cards directly on the Hulu website. It will have to be a total of $25 after monthly charges as long as it is before February 4th, 2016

. We don’t have the spend it all at once, it’s impossible to do so with the current options. You can add showtime to your subscription for an additional charge but it will never total to $25 in a single transaction.

Make sure to go through this URL hulu.com/start/amex

          From this link: https://help.hulu.com/articles/368854

“Where do I buy a gift subscription?

We’re looking to improve your experience when purchasing digital gift codes on Hulu. As a result, we have temporarily suspended the ability to purchase digital gift codes. While we no longer provide the option to purchase gift codes, you may explore signing up for Hulu through iTunes, Amazon, and Roku using the gifting options available by each respective billing party or purchase physical Hulu gift cards from Target, Best Buy, Walmart and other retailers.”

I talked to American Express and they said it does NOT have to be in one purchase. As long as 25 is spent by Feb they will honor the 25.00 credit. Look at the terms, it just says 25 not one transaction 😉

Hmmm. I usually use Bing Rewards points to cover my basic Hulu+ subscription each month, but I might use my Amex card to give the Showtime and/or No Commercial options a try! Thanks!

Don’t forget to link your Plenti account and activate any Hulu offers when they become available – it can make your dollars go even farther! In the past 2 weeks, I’ve earned 1200 Plenti points ($12) through watching Hulu!

(In case you can’t tell, I’m a rewards program junkie. Lol)

Will it work wit an Amex prepaid card?

    • Eve

      No.
