FYI to people doing this just to donate, I know our local shelters only accept certain food. It may seem picky but it’s bc it’s not healthy for them to have constant diet changes. At least that’s what I was told by more than one when my grandpa’s dog passed. he had multiple unopened huge bags he had no use for. I tried and tried to find a place for them. Makes sense when you think about it.
Our local shelter is the same way. We found this out when our kids were in Girl Scouts and wanted to donate some of their cookie profits for animal shelter items. They only accepted one brand, I think.
This was an awesome freebie – it came with a $2 off coupon for the food. Our cats love the food.
