Omg didn’t know target carried this. Mine I think is too small. My hubby is lactose intolerant would love to stock up. Actually tried this at my parents can hardly tell it’s Fake cheese!! Yummy!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear how good it is! Thanks for the feedback!

Assuming from the name that this product does not contain milk. Anyone tried this product before can confirm? My daughter has a milk allergy, it would be great to have this as an alternative.

They may have a vegan version available, I believe I purchased it before at my local super market. The ingredients will state on the back if there are milk derivatives in it – I know since I check all the packages!

    • Jessica

the american slices are dairy free, i buy them for my husband who has an allergy to dairy, the others are only lactose free

  3. Dsanz

They have lactose in them a milk derivative i believe . I know that perticular one isn’t vegan certified .

    • Amy

      Thanks for the info Dsanz!

My husband buys these all the time, we get them in Publix and he loves it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear how yummy they are! Thanks for sharing!

Looks like they are now “lactose free ” , upon closer inspection of the picture , the vegan ones are labeled with a”purple vegan banner ” . There must be some kind of milk derivative … This is an “enzime modified cheese ” which contains milk , and cream .

These melt better than “real” cheese for grilled cheese sandwiches or omelets! They are really good.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh cool! Good to know!

  7. Shannon

I bought this because my son has a milk protein allergy. The second ingredient was whey( milk protein). We had to return it. I am not sure if all the products are like that, but read before you buy if you have an allergy.

    • Jessica

Try the american slices, they are the only sliced vegan(dairy free)cheese they have, the cheddar and pepperjack are only lactase free

    • parkerspantry

Thanks for the information. I got excited for a moment (son has several allergies- including dairy).

  8. Katie

We love this cheese! It does mold rather quickly though!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Katie!
