Anyone know of a good fluoride free toothpaste for toddlers? Fluoride makes people’s cognition decrease.

      lots of problems with fluoride!
my kiddos like tom’s of main’s silly strawberry or the honest company’s strawberry. both have other flavors too.

    • Pharmchick

We have used toms of Maine, honest company, this brand called vitaminpaste and currently using one from trader joes that’s got fennel, myrrh etc. all which were fluoride free; I’ve always tried to use fluoride free for my kiddo. Oragel also makes one but that’s for babiesz

My kids use this one too. Thanks!

Toms has SLS and Carrageenan in it. Unfortunately fluoride is not the only thing we need to look out. I did a lot of research and currently using Spry Kid’s Xylitol Tooth Gel but any other suggestions are welcome.

We stopped using Toms and also Honest company because of the carrageenan in them…. We’ve tried spry but didn’t really care for it… I’ve yet to find another fluoride free toothpaste for my kiddos that doesn’t contain it! There aren’t many options out there it seems 🙁

What’s wrong with fluoride in kids toothpaste

    • Mandy

It’s a known neurotoxin. Look it up. I avoid fluoride toothpaste fluoride water and definitely fluoride treatments at the dentist for my kids and myself!

I am soooo happy to see that so many others on here are aware of the dangers of fluoride!

    • sam

      Mee too:)

    • Norma

      Same here. 👍

My dentist (and many other dentists) stress that children SHOULD be using fluoride. After my 4 year old had a tooth pulled due to a cavity, I immediately switched both he and my 2 year old to toothpaste with fluoride.

Young Living makes a great Thieves toothpaste. Our whole family loves it!

Hi everyone, i too am concern about Fluoride. Like many of you have said, its not just fluoride we need to be on the look out for. Here is the list that i know so far: Xylitol, carrageenan and fluoride.

All of these comments about fluoride etc are outside the scope of the discussion. It really detracts from the original post. This blog isn’t a whole foods blog. I was hoping for some comments specific to this product.
