It doesn’t have to be books, it can be any items totaling $25 and yes, the add on items do count toward the $25. For example you could buy 4 of these for $27.96 and they will ship.

agreed Luna. it says on sale for $6.99 at Best Buy but shows a regular price from amazon…to look like a better deal? I know it says target’s regular price is just under 13 but still seemed strange to show amazon’s list price when we know those often seem random, rather than showing Best Buy’s regular next to it’s sale price. oh well. it’s a nice sale nonetheless:)
“Regular” prices can be misleading. You can go to http://www.camelcamelcamel.com to check the average price of any item on Amazon.
