Are balance rewards similar to extrabucks at cvs? Do they print on the receipt and can be used in the next transaction.

  2. Pamela

    ***Walgreens experts***
If I buy 3 bars =$3.00, can I pay with (3000) points AND still receive 3000 points for the purchase?? TIA

    • bethwalgreens

Yes you *should* receive points back…however every time I’ve paid with points, and should have gotten points back I didn’t. So maybe just do one transaction to test it. Be sure and come back to let us know if it works! 🙂

      • Pamela

Ok, I just bought 21 bars, used 21,000 points to pay AND received 21,000 points!! 😊 Yay

    • Anna

You cannot pay with points and receive points back. At least that is how it works at my three Walgreens stores

    • Gjbim

Can’t pay with points and get points back. Can pay with RR and get points though. Also, must redeem in increments of $5 so you can’t pay using merely 3K points.

      • Pamela

        Thank you!!

        • Emilia

Yes you can if buy a number of items get points like this deal: buy 3 items get 3000 points. But you can’t get the points if spend an amount and get point like spend $30 on Huggies products get 10000points. Two weeks ago I bought two Walgreens aspirin b1g1/2 I paid using my points and I got 2000 points

      • S

You actually can pay with 3,000 points. You have to ask your cashier to do it, though. They have to manually click balance rewards and then “other options” on the register and it will appears on their register with $1, $2, and $3 options if you have the points.

        You can redeem 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 10,000, and increments of 5 up to 50,000. HTH!

        No idea why 4,000 isn’t a thing 😬

    • Kelly

Yes, you’ll earn your points even if you pay with points. I just did this deal now (about a half hour ago) and it worked just fine for me. I did 3 transactions, 3 bars at a time, and paid 3,000 pts. each time. I earned 3,000 pts. every time with no problems.

    • Jeanne

No, you can not earn points if you redeem any. Which I think is stupid but that is walgreens policy..

  3. Janet

No. If you pay with points you won’t earn points.

    • Tori

Yes, you will definitely earn your points if you pay with points! I do it all the time. Their coupon policy was changed a few months ago. So you can use 3,000 points to pay for your 3 bars and you WILL still earn your 3,000 points.

    • Gina

JANET read policy Yes you can

    • lovedeals

I just paid with points and got points. I bought 21 and paid with 18,000 points and got 21,000 back.

  4. Kristy

So there’s an unlimited amount of times you can do this?

    • lovedeals

      yes, you can.

  5. Holly

@Hip2Save, thank you so much for sharing yet another AWESOME deal! You help me save so much money! I’m also looking forward to making some little care packages for friends and family with some of my hip-deals. 🙂

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

You’re welcome Holly! Glad to hear the deals we’re posting are helping you save! 😀

  6. Andrea Fritz

We couldn’t find them in our Auburn, Washington store. 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Were you able to ask a store associate for help finding them?

  7. Olivia

I bought 21 bars (various kinds), used 18,000 points to pay (worth $20), paid $1 out of pocket, and received 21,000 back in points! The cherry pomegranate is incredible!!! Very happy!

  8. Sharina

    Are they all dark chocolate?

    • rebecca

no. at least one variety is white chocolate. i don’t know if any are milk chocolate, or are without chocolate.

    • Ada Roeser

Some are yogurt, not chocolate – the mango pineapple is delicious!

      • lovedeals

Yes, I tried mango pineapple and it taste awesome.

  9. Danielle

This totally works! Thanks so much!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Danielle!

  10. AJ

This would be a great filler for future 5,000 points/$20 or whatever it’ll be.

  11. Silvia

Where are y’all finding these at? I see the boxes of 4 in the candy section but not the single ones anywhere! TIA

    • Joyce

Yes, would love to know where they are?!

    • crystal

In the past, I have found these in the Nutrition aisle, across from the Vitamin aisle.

    • rebecca

i’m not finding them. one store i went to even had a person with samples at a table so you could taste different varieties, so i bought a few from her table. then the next day, i went back to that store and to other locations in my area and could not find any bars, or even a shelf space for them (except for the boxed varieties.)

    • Sandra H

It took forever for me to find them! I was about to give up and leave, and then I saw them in a freestanding square display near the batteries.

  12. Lovedeals

    Where to find them?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to ask a store associate for help finding them if you don’t spot them yourself! Hope this helps!

      • lovedeals

Found them. Bought 21 ( still left plenty for others). Paid with 18,000 points and got 21,000 back. They were really hard to find. Everyone try to ask many store employ. I asked 4 in one store then only one was able to tell. Thanks for your post Collin!!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re so welcome! Glad you found them! 🙂

  13. Gunja

i found them but 3000 reward points offer was not mentioned. will this offer work without listing? and also can i use my $10 register rewards (from venus offer) to get points?

    • AM

yes, my walgreens didn’t have any sign about Reward points either… as a matter of fact it was saying $1.49 each. but when you scan it- it says 3$3. I grabbed 12 and used $10 RR from Gillette venus deal and paid $2 oop and received $12 Reward points :0

  14. Silvia vega

Yayyyy, I found them at one wags in the food section right below the nature valley granola bars boxes! Look everywhere they have food, even in the cash register area where they have quick snacks! These were tagged with the 3,000 points so thank you a ton! I rolled the $10 and two $4 RRs, to rallying 18,000 points😁

  15. jenny

Can i use the points i earned from the bars to buy more bars?xD

    • lovedeals

      Yes, you can.

  16. Emily

I found the bars on an end cap in the aisle with the chips and nuts. It was really hard to see because they weren’t on the shelf, they were almost out about a half foot from the shelf. There were at least 50 bars at my Walgreens. Hope this helps someone!

  17. Heather

I always thought you could not redeem and earn points in the same transaction. I can’t find the details in the terms.

Are people having success redeeming points and earning on this deal?

    • Iza

It’s since they’ve changed their coupon policy. Yes, you can redeem points and still get points 😉

  18. Iza

I did it yaaaaaaay 🙂 It’s rare when I can catch a GrEaT deal like this in stores! I bought 27 and received 27000 points☺️

  19. JenT.

This is probably a stupid question, but here it goes, could i possibly pay with rewards points and then get rewards points…and then repeat…. like I have 3$ in RR right now….could I buy 3…..pay with 3RR….then earn 3….. buy 3….pay with 3…and then earn 3….repeat? Just curious if that would actually work.

    • Bobbie

      Yes, it should work!

  20. charliesandwallysmommy

How long is this good for

    • Tori

      Until Oct. 1st.

  21. lancy

so hard to find, i kept going around and I can’t see anything. i was pointed to the nutrition bars but there wasn’t even a space alloted for them. i tried the groceries, still didn’t see them. maybe I should have looked at the bottom shelves. now, i have to convince hubby to go back and try to find it again

  22. JenT.

Does anyone know if there’s a way for walgreens cashiers to somehow cancel points being given out? Because I went in with $2 in RR rewards, found about 15 bars that were seated RIGHT in front of the register (as if someone deliberately put them out of place because people were asking for them so much due to the sale). I picked up 8, as not to be greedy for anyone else coming in after me who wanted some, I was going to pay with my 2RR and make it 4 different transactions as to not put any $ out, the cashier wanted me to pay for all of them at once since she was sitting there busy talking casually to her colleague before I went to the checkout & I interrupted her. She seemed very irritated that I declined making it a single transaction & wanted it to be 4…. and then when the first transaction went though, no points printed out…. she said to get a refund, she would have to call the manager about it, since I paid with RRs….so not to make a fuss, I ended up paying $1.14 each for these bars that I normally would never buy that expensively. I don’t blame anyone, but everyone here seems to say it worked for them, and the whole ordeal seemed suspect, so wanted to know if there is anyway that the cashiers could prevent customers from earning points on any specific transaction….so that I can learn my lesson not to go to that walgreens again. Or I could just be acting paranoid for no reason. Any info would be appreciated.

    • Nick

It’s because you only bought 2 at a time. The deal is when you buy (3) bars in the same transactions, you get 3,000 points.

      • JenT.

uuggh, I’m so stupid. I read the post the night before and completely forgot about the 3’s part… Wow, wasted those 2 RRs…embarrassed myself……and no way there are any left nearly 12 hours later. Might check the other walgreens in town tomorrow as the yogurt one was SO GOOD, but even that’s a real longshot. Oh well, lesson learned to write all the details down next time. I believe the woman at the register knew darn well what the problem was, but was feeling too lazy to do 3-4 different transactions with me, so let me spend the $ for no good reason instead of being nice enough to inform me of what I was doing wrong…trying to buy 2 at a time instead of 3….maybe being vindictive because I didn’t want to buy all of them in one transaction like she suggested…..and I’m not the one to take 1+1 and make 5….her attitude was just really iffy, which led me to think something was wrong on her end to begin with.
        Thanks for the response.

        • Tori

Go to a manager and ask if you can place an order for them. I did and she said “Sure, no problem!” She ordered 2 boxes of every flavor and said I could buy what I wanted and put the rest back on the shelf. Since this deal goes until Oct 1st, you have time.

          • JenT.

Thank you so much for this suggestion. I don’t want to go to the same walgreens so I called up the other one in town & they said they had a case of one kind and a couple of the others. I will stop by there in a couple of hours & if they’re already gone, I will definitely take your tip to use and ask about them ordering them. If they say no, I wont be too upset because as you said, it lasts for another nearly 3 weeks, so they definitely will get more in before the first. Thanks for bringing it to my attention that there’s plenty of time. Most of these deals only last a week, so I hadn’t realized. I really need to start reading these post more carefully word for word lol. Like many of us, I think I just got too excited for the freebie haha.

  23. Nafi

I just got 40 bars . Thanks so much . FYI : not all Walgreens carry the single bars .I had to go through 2 stores to find it .

    • Annora

I don’t know if this will work for anyone else, but my manager let me open all the boxes and buy them individually. At first, he said it wouldn’t work because the UPC’s were different, but he’d try it. None of the bars beeped and the UPC’s on each bar ring up as singles, only the actual box rings up differently. Because of that, he said to go ahead and open every one of them. I bought 21 bars, (paid with 18,000 points and $1 in cash) and got 21,000 points and did that twice, making $4. If you can’t find the singles, but you can find the boxes, it couldn’t hurt to ask a manager.

  24. jenny

I bought 3 bars and get 3000 point, then try again 2nd transaction paid cash, didn’t see the point at all, only show 3280 point, that’s weird, I have to return 2nd transaction. are they limit 1 per customer now? just happen today 09/14

  25. Kat

I found these in a 4 pk box and then six 12 pk boxes.. I asked the manager if one box could be open and i purchase all 12 by single bars…he took box to to register and scanned the box but no price showed up… Turns out those were supposed to be opened, also the other 5 varities for single bar purchase. Ah ha! I was able to get two of each for free! Yay! Thanks for this deal hip2save!! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! You’re welcome Kat!
