What is going on with Tide? I see it on clearance everywhere.

I think they are going to switch all the tide over to turbo tide for HE machines. Supposedly it washes your clothes in less time.

I’m hoping not as I still have a regular top loading washer. Guess it would be considered old fashion lol

        • Jo

HE detergent can be used in older, top-loading washing machines. It’s the regular detergent that cannot be used in HE machines.

Some people post wrong info on sites, so I just wanted to say that Jo is 100% correct. The only difference is that the HE are low sudsing, so you won’t see as many bubbles, but it cleans just as good and maybe even better. High-efficiency suspends dirt in the water longer because there is so little of it in the HE machines. I had to break the habit of “pouring till I saw bubbles” cause the suds can prevent the clothes from agitating properly, plus, the extra soap can’t be washed away, and THAT is what makes the HE machines stink. 🙁

I found Huggies Swim diapers on Clearance for $2.59 at walgreens! And you can get $2 coupons from pickup the values! Equals $.05 a swim diaper!
