Just wanted to alert people of a similar deal with Dollar General. They have a $4/2 digital coupon on their site as well, for herbal essense shampoos/conditioners…..and the products are selling for 2.50 each in store. I picked up two today. Comes out to 50 cents each plus tax same as Walgreens.
They also have an awesome deal right now on Kleenex tissue, no coupons needed at all, buy 5 large boxes of kleenex tissues, and you will pay only .50 each for them. Savings are immediate/automatic. It’s part of their buy 5 save 5 deal going on….and lots of other different items are part of that deal (TP, detergent, etc) if you want to buy something else to make the 10$ requirement to get 2$ off from their $2/10$ digital coupon expiring tomorrow.

      • JenT.

Ah ok, weird I must’ve missed it, or I could’ve saw it here briefly and then thought it was my brilliant discovery when I went to go look at the DG ad lol.
I was wondering though, they have in the same DG ad a 5$ Head and shoulders deal, in which they put that they have a $4/2 digital coupon on their site, which brings it down to 6$ for 2. I also found ANOTHER $4/2 coupon in this past sunday’s newspaper for H&S, can these be used together to make the total $2 for 2, or is that $4/2 digital coupon DG has considered a manufacturers coupon as well? Any advice on that would be great, as $2 for 2 H&S shampoos sounds like a great deal IMO.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You would not be able to stack those two as I believe they are both manufacturers coupons. Hope this helps!

          • JenT.

Ok, I figured as much, but thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask, thanks for the response and the amazing site.

Do u have to tell the cashier at Walgreens that u have clipped digital coupon? I had clipped that last time , but the digital coupon didn’t show up when I pay even after I input the phone number … so end up I have to pay $5. Anyone with same experience ???

    • Rebecca

The digital coupon should show up automatically. But i usually ask my cashier if it showed up before i pay, and if it doesn’t then they usually manually enter it for me.

      • Sue

I had the same issue last time- tried it twice and never could get it to work. The manager said it wouldn’t work on sale items. 😥

    Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome!

  9. Brenda

Dollar general also has the coupon on their app and the products on sale 2/$5.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Brenda!

This coupon excludes the color me kind of shampoo n conditioners. That might help those of you having trouble getting it to work.

    • Gentry

What’s the color me kind ?

      • Dwilson19

Color me happy shampoo and conditioners they are the red ones on collins picture in above post.

        • Dwilson19

I just tried it and bought a hello hydration type of conditioner (light blue bottle)and a body envy(orange bottle) and the coupon applied without a problem.

    • Mrs

The coupon in my account says :
      Save $4.00 On 2
      Herbal Essences
on TWO Herbal Essences Shampoo, Conditioner or Styling Products
(excludes Color, Body Wash and trial/travel size).
So I assumed the exclusion of “color” meant it excluded Boxes of hair color/dye.

This deal didn’t ring up 2/$5 for me. They each rang up $3.99. I told the cashier they should be 2/$5 but when she checked the ad it wasn’t in there…😟 and she scanned my card so I don’t know. Is it regional?

    • Pamelaos81

They aren’t on sale at my Walgreens either 🙁

    • JenT.

If you have a dollar general in your area, they are having the same deal, clip the $4/2 coupon on their site before you go though.

  12. KJ

My walgreens didnt have this deal up 🙁
