Heads up, my Target’s register automatically lowered the $3 coupon to $2.45 for each so it’s not a MM.

    • An

What! Why is that? Sounds like they are trying to stop mm in the system.

I noticed this the other day with another gift card deal I was doing. They kind of subtract the price of the gift card from the coupon. For example, I was getting the 2 Secret Clinical Deodorants for $7.99, buy 2 get a $5 gift card. I had a free product coupon, but when they scanned it, it took off $5.49. So it’s like it’s counting half of the gift card amount as a coupon toward the item. Fortunately the cashier fixed it, but you just have to watch the register now.

My target lowered the coupon value as well as soon as the coupon wAs scanned

I went this morning got one eye shadow one liner and one blush all for free plus made 1.50 with copons plus I got the razor deal all that for 4.30 out of pocket including tax I went to another Target used the 5 off 10.00 and got Neutrogena moisturizer which was 9.99 plus 6 tubes of crest compete toothpaste. The end cap had buy 2 get 1 free packs that rang up 2.98 each. Awesome deals I got so many things for a total of 14.30 out of pocket. I was out of moisturizer so I had to buy that no matter what. I got all the other things for 4.30 🙂

Walgreens has some great Revlon coupons if anyone uses that instead of Cover Girl! There’s a digital manufacturer coupon for $3 off face lip or eye. There’s also a monthly savings coupons of $4 off 2 Revlon eye products and, right now, all Revlon is buy 1 get 1 half off!

Worked for me, with overage on self checkout. Had to get the attendant to hit “accept anyway”.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear you could snag the deal!

My cashier wouldn’t give me the overage, but I asked for a manager to come over and honor the price the coupon said to deduct ($3). Worked out for me, but you have to be paying attention to the screen now…at least for this deal…dont know about others.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know!

Seems like if target only deducts $2.35 per coupon and then submits the coupon to the. Company for $3, they are turning it into a mm?

  9. melissa Rhodes

I feel that the Target altering the coupon for less than the face value is fraud on their part.

    • Eunice

if target lower down the actual value of the coupon and they would still submit it to the manufacturer to get the full value of the coupon then target is committing FRAUD. Couponers with first hand experience on this matter should write to the product manufacturers to inform them about it.

My Target wouldn’t let me use a third Huggies coupon for the diapers deal (buy 4 Super packs, get $25 for $100 baby purchase). I bought 3 Huggies & 1 Luvs. They allowed only 2 like coupons & said more than 2 similar coupons, the computer system declines it bc it deems it as fraud. I asked for a manger to come over, but the cashier said managers are not allowed to do that anymore. I didn’t have the time to fight it.

went back today to get some more cover girl makeup. I got powder eye brow maker and a single eye shadow. After coupons and gift cards cost me 1.05 out of pocket 🙂

    🙁 I think the $3 coupon is gone!?!?! I can’t find it on coupons.com

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! I am still finding both $3 coupons “clipped” for me when clicking through the links above. Hope this helps!
