I need a little help on purchasing an Xbox one. We have a 360 now. Is this Walmart deal a good as it gets? How should I sell the 360 if I do purchase the Xbox one?
That Walmart price isn’t shockingly good, but it’s about the best around. Consider the Xbox One S, depending on your setup — 500GB model w/a game for $299 at Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon, & Walmart.
I always have good experiences selling my old consoles on ebay. Craigslist or local Facebook shopping communities can be good too, with the normal caveats of safety & fraud. And make sure to remove all account data first.
Note that while Microsoft keeps increasing backward compatibility, not all 360 games work on the One, so check any that are important to you.
Our 360 died and we decided to go ahead and bite the bullet before our boys got much older. We did eventually have to pick up the favorite Lego marvel since it wasn’t compatible but at least being old it was under $20. I got ours on from newegg on eBay with a controller for either $300 or $329 and a ton of swagbucks to ease the pain.
Colin, my kids want the Call of Duty version, should I wait for Thanksgiving or snag this similar version? 🙂
