Samsung Safety Recall Update: ALL Galaxy Note7 Devices To Be Exchanged or Refunded

Have you heard the news?

Samsung is asking all consumers with an original Galaxy Note7 or a replacement Galaxy Note7 to power it down and contact the carrier or retail outlet where you purchased your Galaxy Note7. If you bought your Galaxy Note7 from or have questions, you can contact them at 1-844-365-6197. Click HERE to read the Safety Recall Notice.

Galaxy Note7 Owners need to do one of the following:

  • Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 for a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge and replacement of any Galaxy Note7 specific accessories with a refund of the price difference between devices. Note that customers who exchange a Note7 device will also receive a $25 gift card, in-store credit, in-store accessory credit or bill credit from select carrier retail outlets.
  • Contact your point of purchase to obtain a full refund.

    Hope it’s figured out soon. My began to smoke as I was in a victorias secret fitting room trying on some sexy lingerie. Needless to say I had to run out of there in a skimpy outfit during a busy Saturday evening. Fire alarm went off but nothing caught fire. It’s funny looking back at it. Me standing there in half naked but the manager walked me into back room until I could get me clothes back.

      Wow glad that you were OK after this incident. I’ve had all the galaxy note phones, except the 7. They are fabulous phones so this is so sad to me.

        Luckily I had the phone out using it ND not in my purse otherwise I would have other seen the smoke right away

    CNN just announced Samsung is scrapping the Note 7 altogether and taking a 10 billion $ hit. Now they think it was a design flaw and not the battery.

    Ugh, it was such a hassle for me. I was so excited to get it, I pre-ordered as soon as you were able to on Aug 3. It was supposed to come in on Aug 19 I believe, but it kept getting delayed at my store and they kept giving me the runaround. Finally I got it, got it set up how I wanted it, transferred everything over, and then the recall. I did like the 7 and mine never gave me any problems, but I traded mine in a few weeks ago for the note 5, that was at the time when they weren’t sure how long it would be until the replacement 7s were out. I’m glad that I didn’t wait and get another 7! But looking back, I wish I would have just kept my note 4, but I sold it as soon as I bought the 7. Everything was just such a headache.

    I am glad I waited. I had the Note 3, then went to the Note 5 which I have had sine Jan 2016 so I was waiting to get the Note 7. I love the Notes and don’t want anything else. I feel bad for all the hassle they have put people through, I think its too much rushing to compete on the market. Slow down, produce a quality phone and think about people’s safety, Samsung! I do love Samsung though so hopefully this is just a blip and not to be repeated from such a great company.

    what about samsung galaxy s7 edge. the whole screen heats up soooo much! anyone else experience heating up problem with this phone?
    also the kohls app on this phone the kohls cash or coupons dont swipe lol. any one else?

      My s7 edge does heat up a lot!!!

      Yes I had the same issue and when I called to complain about it. They just said it was normal. So I just switched to a iPhone and I haven’t had any issues.

    I absolutely LOVE my note 5. My entire family, my husband 4 kids and son-inlaw, parents, 4 siblings and their spouses as well as their children all have iPhones and they’re always trying to get me to switch. I won’t. I’m a Samsung fan. However, I learned a long time ago never be 1st out of the gate to buy something new to market, whether it be phone or car. Wait 6 months and watch how it performs. I’ve been up for an upgraded for a while now. I’m so glad I have that 6 month wait rule.

      I was due for an upgrade, my last phone which was LG the battery was draining too fast, so I decided to try the Samsung, got it on the 19th when it was released, had no issues whatsoever but they say to return it for a new one, I did, still no issues, I love it. Now I have to return it and go phone shopping again, I’m just not an iPhone gal. Well well, Samsung get up brush it off and get going again.

    This is the best phone I have ever had. It pains me to have to turn it in. I understand the reasoning but that doesn’t make losing it any better. I have heard that once you use the Note 7 nothing will compare so I guess I will just hang on to my money and go back to my old Galaxy S5. This does not change my opinion of Samsung they still have great products. Stuff happens, it’s just a pain to the consumer.

    Is this for all Note 7s? My boyfriend just got one a couple days ago and he knew about the overheating, but the people at the Verizon store told him that Samsung had recalled their first ones and had fixed the problem so he should be good with the newest one…

      I read the replacements were catching fire also.
