This is such a good deal!!!! I love my silhouette!!! I’ve had it almost a year and I use it a lot! Especially with Christmas coming up. It will be great for making gifts!

    • Charmel

What kinds of things do you use it for?

      • Olivia

So many things! It cuts vinyl to make custom t shirts or wall decals. I’ve also made decals for those Walmart yeti cups, coffee cups, my kids water bottles… I also make all greeting cards with it and all my sons birthday invites plus all the decorations. It’s very versatile.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that Olivia! Thanks for the great feedback!

  2. Angie

I agree with Olivia, this is a great deal. I love my silhouette, you can make so many nice things with it!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Angie!

  3. Bri

It is a great deal! But everyone should know this is the Silhouette 2. There is a newer version out there.

    • Kristin

Do you know what the main differences are?

  4. Kris

Do you know what the main differences are between this and the newer one?

    • Scmckinney

You can’t use the coupon on anything silhouette or cricut.

      • Jenee

Thank you for getting back to me scmckinney 🙂
I really want to use for vinyl and tshirt transfer. Good for this? Debating if I have enough use for it.

  5. Rachel

    Merry Christmas to me!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😉

  6. Melody

Can anyone weigh in on Silouette vs. Cricut?

    • Cbeths

Lots of blogs on this. The main difference for me is that the cricut needs an Internet connection for cutting. The software and all files are kept on cricut servers. Therefore you rely heavily on your connection and their capabilities at that time.

  7. lisa

silhouette- MUCH better and cheaper in the long run then cricut- no cartridges needed– EASY EASY software to use.
I have had a few different cutters– wishblade, cricut and now silhouette .

This is a GREAT deal- old version or not– its a good machine

    • Cbeths

I agree silhouette will likely be better for most people. But just so everyone knows, the new cricut machines do not require cartridges.

      • Melody

Thanks so much for the input! I’ve been wanting a machine, but haven’t looked into them much. More than likely buying this one! 🙂

    • Melody

      Thank you lisa! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the great review Lisa!

  8. Bri

I love the silhouette!! This is a great deal. I also have a favorite website that sells printable vinyl that you can iron on! Makes things so easy! I am so excited to try their new gloss transfer! http://www.cricketcandy.com

  9. Renee

This is a great deal!! Love my Silhouette – crafting with it is so addicting!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks for sharing Renee! Happy to hear how much you enjoy yours!

  10. Kim

    Bri,

What site do you use to buy vinyl?

    Thanks

    • Bri

Kim. I love cricket candy for printable. Right now you can go to https://universityofvinyl.com for 5 free sheets. My favorite vinyl place is expressions vinyl. They carry every kind of vinyl imaginable. They come in sheets specifically designed for the circuit and silhouette. Great company. Fast shipping and great customer service. I think outs very reasonable pricing to. Hope that helps out!

      • TEG

Bri, is that a good deal after you pay the $7.95 shipping? I have never bought any so not sure on pricing since it doesn’t say how big the sheets are.

        • Bri

It’s been a bit since i have bought. I know 5 sheets on the original site is $13.95. Sorry i hope that helps

  11. Stacey

Anyone know the difference between the 2 and the 3? I want one just not sure which to buy…I’m a newbie 🙂

    • Cbeths

I’d like to know the differences also. Any input? And the price difference. $70?

  12. Danielle

Love my Silhouette. I’m going on 5 years with the first version. The difference with the 2 and 3 is mainly Bluetooth capabilities which most people are having connectivity problems anyway (with the 3). The 3 doesn’t have enough differences to make it that much better than the 2. I almost want to buy this 2 as a backup. I’d definitely jump on this deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh wow! Glad to hear how well yours has held up Danielle! Thanks for sharing!

    • Isabel

Are you able to make logos such as professional fort all teams, etc with this machine’s software?

  13. Brooke Broyles

What are the restrictions on size of cutout?

    • Danielle

Not much. The length is whatever you want. People have easily done 10 feet. The width is 12 inches. BUT you can piece together vinyl if you want it wider. I’ve seen people do full wall decals with just their Silhouette. The sky’s the limit 🙂

  14. Isabel

I have been wanting to by one of these machines but do t know which one to get. I’m mainly interested in making tshirts and decals for the yeti cups. Will this machine do that? Also, would I be able to make NFL logos with it?

    • Olivia

This will definitely do the job! I do all of that with mine. I’ve also heard that the silhouette software is easier to use than cricut. I’ve never seen it this cheap. Plus all the other bundles come with stuff you really don’t need. The stuff in this bundle is the stuff you want!
