The Amazon jobs that are currently listed (seasonal) are legitimate work from home jobs. I had worked for them last year and got hired on as a reserve customer service agent. There is no need for a landline phone and I never had to speak with anyone! I did everything online even the hiring event which was basically “you’re hired” was online. All paperwork was completed online with the exception of the I-9 and they actually set all that up to. The training is self paced and you get to decide how many hours you spend doing the training. Great job!

Thank you so much for the post about Amazon work from home positions! I was afraid I was not going to be able to work for them due to the full time schedule they sent to me; however, I received a phone call on Sunday offering me a permanent part time position! I did not have to drive the two hours to the Amazon facilities – they actually allowed me to have the forms notarized and scanned to them. It was such a blessing and I’m so thankful for your post!

(Thanks, The Penny Hoarder!)

Darn wish this was available in California.

    • Luz

      Same!

      • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

        Bummer. 🙁

  2. Natalie

I got a contingent offer just from applying but after the first training, I was told that this seasonal part-time job is actually full time and part time is only available after the holidays. You must work 4x10s or 5x8s. Landline isn’t needed as you’ll work from your computer. If using a laptop, you must have a separate mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Also, no wifi- must be directly connected via ethernet cord. I’m bummed that I wasn’t able to continue as I have 2 youngsters at home and can’t function on that little of sleep!

    • Amanda

For those shifts, did you get to pick the hours – day/night- or were they just assigned to you?

      • Natalie

You got to pick from shifts, first come first served

      • Dwilson19

U can pick from a limited schedule of hours. From what i can remember a sample shift would be like 6:30am-3:30pm pst.

  3. Amanda

For those that have done this, is it a realistic job for a stay-at-home momma of four? It looks like their operating hours start at 6pm EST? I’m thinking I could work through the night.

    • Amanda

Forget the 6pm thing -I misread, they’re operating hours start at 6 am EST. Still interested though.

    • Natalie

      24/7

    • Arianne

I went through the interview process and got hired about this time two years (after Collin posted about it LOL), during the orientation they went over the part about holidays – they are MANDATORY. As a SAHM, this position was ideal – except that my children would be home from school on Thanksgiving, Christmas break, etc. According to the trainer – if you didn’t work the minimum 6 hour shift on Thanksgiving (the first holiday after hire) – you’d be terminated. So I never went completely live, but otherwise the work would’ve been great!

So awesome wish was in ala. Thanks for this post anyway keep em coming. Tysm.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      Bummer. 🙁 You’re welcome!

  5. Dwilson19

This is an amazing opportunity! I tried to sign up but it was for full time work hours only. Not part time!! I went through the whole process and it is totally legit and awesome! If it would’ve been part time work hours i would’ve totally done it!! Amazon will pay you for the 4 week training before you begin to work. I just could not commit to 40hrs a week.

    • Clare

What was the title of the job you applied for? I can’t find any virtual jobs. Where are you located?

      • dwilson19

It does not look like its available anymore the title was Seasonal Work from Home Customer Service Associate

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up! I am finding “full time” listed through the link now as well. Just updated!

  6. thanks!

I wish this was available in iowa. Oh well. Great opportunity for those that can take advantage of it!

  7. Jenn

Low pay for all those requirements.

    • Bethany

      Agreed.

  8. 3babiesmommie

When I click on my state, Georgia, it doesn’t offer a home position. These are at the actual facility.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Hey there! After clicking on your hometown link, if you do not see where it says “Seasonal Fulfillment Associate”, then it appears it is not available near you. Bummer.. it is only available in select Georgia locations. 🙁

  9. Erinn

for some reason the links aren’t working for me, I can’t find where to apply. Is anyone else having this issue?

  10. karen

Yes Erin, same here. Can’t find where to apply.

  11. Clare

What is the actual title of the position we are looking for? When I click on AZ I get a list of jobs for in-person?

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Hey Clare! I am thinking that it would be “Seasonal Fulfillment Associate”. Hope that helps!

  12. JA

Is this a customer service job or what exactly? Forgive me if I’m missing something.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Hi there JA! Yes, this is a Work from Home Customer Service Associate job!

  13. db

It doesn’t look like there are any available in Ohio. It says Ohio on that ad page, but after signing up and searching for jobs, it doesn’t look like there are any at home jobs for people residing in Ohio.

    • Happymama

      Thank you.

  14. Kate

What a great oppurtunity to ppl that cant wrk outside the hm for w/e reason. And yes $10/hr isnt ideal but u dont have to drive anywhere, or have wrk clothes, or even have to tlk to anyone! Ideal for someone w/social anxity issues, home bound ppl w/illness or a student.

Kudos to Amazon for keeping jobs in the US!!

    • Christine

Kate I do agree that when you WFH you don’t have to worry about driving in or buying clothes, I am a permanent wfh ee with a local health insurance co, have been for almost 8 yrs and would not change a thing. I was actually thinking about a PT seasonal job but that is taken care of! Get this, we are getting ready for AEP (annual enrollment period) and they need volunteers to assist customer service (because of ACA) so they are allowing employees to volunteer for this and we get 40 hrs of training, so instead of doing my regular job that week of training I will be going into the office, I get paid mileage since I wfh, if I decide to go back home in the evenings to work my regular job that will be OT (time and a half) and once that week of training is over I go back to my regular job at home and then will be going into the office in the evenings working 5:30 – 8:30, again this will be OT and still get paid for mileage and that is not all, if you volunteer for at least 40 hrs in a month you get a $300 monthly bonus and you are entered into monthly give aways, how awesome is this!!!!! This will go thru March 2017

  15. Sue

Where does one apply, can’t find anywhere

    • karen

      Follow Ericas post.

  16. Stacy

Anyone know if you are hired permanently after the holidays if the pay increases?

  17. Kate

Am I doing something incorrectly or are all of the FL positions filled? I see the exact job title that we were suggested “Seasonal Fulfillment Associate” but it seems these are all factory locations where you would be sorting shipments.
I am really serious about looking for wfh opportunities and would appreciate anyone who could lend me a hand in determining whether this could work.
    TIA! 🙂

  18. Lisa

Colin – Thank you so much for listing work-from-home (or ANY) employment opportunities. It’s obvious from the comments that there is a need. On my part, a dear friend of mine has been out of work for months, is highly qualified and personable, and is desperate for employment, so I’m trying to keep an eye out. Keep ’em coming!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are SO welcome Lisa! 🙂

  19. jam

I used to work this job seasonal but quit after few months..i cant deal with rude customers anymore and i always got a headache after so many hours of talking but other than that schedule is very flexible. You can pick up every half hour..like u can choose to work 7:00 – 7:30 only then resume at 9:00-9:30. You can pick up from 6am – 2am pst and its fcfs. They also gave 10% employee discount at amazon.com. al

  20. Amanda

Where does one apply to do this I can only find one for cinncinatti in ohio?

  21. Jane doe

I made it all the way to filling out w4s ready for it but the fulltime hours schedule was just impossible i was hoping rheres be later shifts but even the latest shift starts at 8am pst so schedule wouldnt even allow me to walk my child out to the bus stop at the corner of our street. I reallllly hope they look for part time or reserves sometime soon. BUT it is absolutely a legit job hopefully i get another chance in the future

  22. Heather

I don’t see where you apply for the position?? I clicked the link, is the job closed to applications?

  23. Melissa Ward Long

No home phone and I was ready to start. All qualifications met but no home phone. Dang!!

    • SRN

You don’t need a home phone. They ship you the headset and it works through software you install on your computer.

  24. Risa Bonner

What about Indiana, do you have anything here that we can do? It would be great to make a little money for the holidays.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to click through the link in comments and in post to check if a position is offered in your area!

  25. Amanda

Where do I apply the only one I found is warehouse in Cincinnati Ohio and I live in Ohio

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! I am wondering if your state might not be offering a work from home position.

  26. M P

Too bad I have no home Internet or a computer. I only have a cell phone with mobile data which doesn’t qualify. Not sure if it’d be worth it after buying a computer and Internet. I’d love to work from home since I can’t get out of the house with 4 kids.

  27. Pradeep

The link provided above take to the hiring in the fullfilmemnt center and not work from home.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, did you check for the jobs posted in your area? I’m wondering if it might be that your region is not offering a work from home position at the moment. Hope this helps!

  28. Bkati

Mmmhhh This sure does sound very interesting.
