I got this doll for a friend and I know her daughter will love it. We have these dolls as well as American Girls and there is no difference.
I absolutely love these dolls. I purchased two for my 5 and 8 year old daughters. They fit lots of brands of clothing and I’m not worried about it if they forget them at a friend’s house or some disaster like “I don’t know” colors on them.
I got my daughter the OG doll Holly last Christmas and she loves her. She has held up very well under normal wear and tear or kids playing with her. If you aren’t in the market for an AG doll I’d recommend this as a substitute.
My daughter has one of these & an AG doll. She actually prefers it over her AG doll.

Last year these sold out super fast online so I personally wouldn’t wait if you really wanted it for Christmas.
I agree. The doll I wanted to get my niece was gone quickly and never came back in stock before Christmas- online or in the store. Order early!
Anyone know what the dolls whose hair is in a bun looks like when you take the bun out?
Pretty great quality for the price honestly. Hair is pretty thick. Very comparable to AG.
I really am not impressed with the hair quality. They are great dolls for the price but after 6 months the hair is a giant knot. Our American Girl doll has much better hair but also the much steeper price tag. I also don’t care for the hairline in the my generation dolls. A lot of bald spots once you take it out of the styled hair they come with.
I agree, after a year we ended up throwing our dolls away. The hair was terrible. We even used the AG hair brushes and still ended up with a hair that looked like a birds nest. I would stay away from the dolls but the accessories are great quality and the price is very nice too.
Agreed! Our og doll looks like sideshow bob! It would be good if the doll kept her hair in braids or something ALL the time.
I think they may have improved the hair. I bought my daughter one 6 years ago and the hair was a big old mess, even w conditioner, but then we bought a couple last year and the hair is MUCH better. No tangles at all and can be brushed easily w the AG brush. Her new dolls have straight hair and wavy hair which might make a difference (not curly), but we have no complaints with them.
Hmm we purchased ours last year and the hair was still awful
My daughter’s doll ended up with a rats nest after about a year of hard wear and tear. We made some “doll conditioner” (it’s a pinterest recipe that uses fabric softener) and the tangles came right out. Looks as good as new!
Really, our hair is fantastic! We use the doll brushes and they have stood the test of time. No complaints fro us.
Does anyone know if the outfits can fit baby alive? I know the my life clothes at walmart do.
We’ve had luck with premie sized clothes on clearance at Walmart in baby section.
dresses do but need long sleeves rolled up a bit. I don’t think we’ve tried anything that wasnt’ elasticized…maybe stick with dresses, shorts, short sleeves and leggings…pants are the most likely to be a problem. good luck.
The outfits were cheaper two weeks ago. Paid $9 for them. They are now $10.16.
Awesome deal on great dolls and accessories! We own 2 dolls and lots of the outfits! The tent set is great and bought out soon to be 7 year old the camper for her birthday and it is super nice!! I know she will LOVE it!!
