Considering that shutterfly is constantly giving away “free with shipping” items, is this even a deal? I guess if you wanting an item not normally offered. Shuttefly annoys me
I usually combined free items with a $20 off code (or photo book) and meet the minimum for free shipping. Like now I ordered the free stocking, I had free address labels and this $20 off code. There is free shipping on $39 so add $59 (I got a mug, playing cards, and 2 placemats) to your cart to get free shipping and $20 off. That way you don’t pay shipping for the free items either. So for $39 (or for my items it was a tiny bit more) plus tax you save over $90!
You aren’t saving $90 because no one in their right mind would pay that much for the items. It just like at kohl’s where they claim you save all this money but no one pays full price so it’s all a gimmick to make you think you’re getting a deal when you’re not really
There quality is super good though! I have never received a bad product from them. Also last year around Christmas time they offered free shipping codes on any amount. So I was getting hundreds of dollars worth of stuff for a couple dollars! I got so many high quality free and super cheap things from shutterfly! It’s not for everyone but I have never had a bad experience. So for me $45 on a Christmas stocking, address labels, 2 placemats, a mug and a deck of cards, personalized with my pictures on it, that’s a pretty awesome deal considering the quality of the products!

That’s what I did a few days ago. $50 shipped for 2 calendars, 1 photo book upgraded to lay flat pages, 1 stocking, 150 4×6 photos, 12 thank you cards with envelopes, 10 Christmas cards with envelopes, and a memory matching game. And yes, I probably would’ve payed that much in a store if I wanted those items for gifts but these are personalized. Much more meaningful in my opinion.
I agree. I’m sure on certain items if you combined a whole bunch of deals you could get an okay price, but a lot of their stuff you could DIY (especially bc craft stores love 50% off coupons) or maybe even have done at a smaller shop for cheaper. To each their own though, we all have our own idea of what is worth a splurge. I’m sure I’d bowl people over with what I pay for Christmas chocolates 😉
