Black Friday deals kinda slow this year. Oh well..

    • Jen

      Slow? Almost obsolete!

      • Michela

        Non existent indeed

  2. denise

    awesome thank you!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Denise!

  3. Joanne

I tried using the $2.00 coupon at Walgreens this morning on the 2 packages that were $2/2 and they wouldn’t let me use it because the coupon is $2.00 off of one not two.

    • Meredith

I experienced the same. I am interested if anyone has been able to.

      • deals

Same. They said “it can’t be zero”. I was nice about it so added 2 candies to the order to make there be a balance. I got a shrug of the shoulders from the manager who manually over rode the coupons to work (I printed 2 coupons & had 4 packs of hair bands). The manager made some weird comment about “we have an arrangement with the manufacturer to prevent things like this” after it was all said and done. It is what it is………………….I never have faith that a coupon scenario will work at wg ~always a gamble and big hassle!!!

    • Cliff

My digital coupon loaded at checkout but wasn’t applied. My guess is this was due to each 18pk being listed as a dollar. I pointed out the exact scenario as printed in their ad and the manager reduced the price of each 18pk to zero.

    • Jaimie

Same thing happened to me as well. They said that they couldn’t do it unless one of the 18 packs was over $2.

  4. Gray

    Awesome! Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  5. Sandy

They had scunci brand hair ties at dollar tree. It was a 30 pack and hanging on the corner.

    • Sara A Doyle

Yes! I just bought some yesterday before I knew about the coupon. I got both 18 count and 30 count packages.

  6. lovedeals

load to card coupon is also available on walgreens site.

  7. Guest

I tried this twice today at Walgreens and it was rejected both times. Their reasoning was since the single packs are on are sale for $1.00, they will not accept the $2.00 off 1 coupon even if you buy 2.

    • Jessie

      They should adjust it down.

      • Jane

Jessie, Walgreens has it written in their policy that they do not adjust coupons down. If the coupon is for more than the item sells for they don’t accept them πŸ™

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Darn!

  8. Mia

My Walgreens also rejected it since I was using a $2 coupon on a $1 item. They don’t adjust coupons down, they just don’t honor them

  9. Jeannine

Walgreens rejected the coupon for me as well early this morning.

  10. Jane

I have 2 questions… you posted 300 points = $3.00. Doesn’t it take 3,000 points to = $3 at Walgreens? Also Walgreens policy is not accept coupons for a greater value than the item is selling for. Since the items in question are $1.00 each it’s a no go I think πŸ™‚

    • Jane

Sorry, I thought your post said BR points, we don’t have Rite Aid stores here so my mind skipped over the word Plenti LOL!

    • Mel

You’re confusing Rite Aid & Wags point systems. At R.A. 300 Plenti Points = $3. At Wags 300 Balance Rewards = $0.30. There are no points for purchasing Scunci at Wags. But if you pick them up at RA, you’ll get 300 Pts ($3) back. Since the limit is 2, you can get 600 Pts back. AFA using the q at Wags, it’s going to be a YMMV. I know the stores in my area will not take a q if it’s more than the selling price. No matter that the total cost = $2, since the price per item is $1, they won’t even try to scan it. Skipping Wags and heading to RA instead!

  11. vchavez

    Does the coupon beep?

  12. Dina

I had the sand problem with Walgreens not accepting them. I tried at rite aid and they rejected them too because they have a Walgreens logo on them

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear that Dina! πŸ™

  13. NJ

I tried to use it at Walgreens as well and they wouldn’t honor it. Will not be returning to Walgreens after the way I was treated.

  14. Dawnelle

My Walgreens wouldn’t accept the coupon either. πŸ™

  15. Lisa Kruger

This deal did not work for me and this is why I don’t shop at Walgreens anymore. The Walgreens near me are very uncoupon friendly and there is always a reason they can’t take my coupons. This time it was because the scrunchies were $1 each and the coupon said it was for $2 off of 1… Bah humbug to Walgreens yet again. πŸ™

    • deals

I agree ………………. there’s always some reason why the coupon won’t work at wg. I only go in when there is a specific coupon deal — but trust me it’s less and less because of how I am hassled. You essentially feel like a criminal walking out of there in my opinion!

  16. Monica

Same here. They would not take one $2 coupon for two $1 items.

  17. rosana

I had no probrem got 2 and used my coupon paid .18.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Glad you could snag the deal Rosana!

  18. Diana

?it is listed in the ad – using the coupon makes them free… How can they not honor that??

    • Cliff

EXACTLY! This’s isn’t a creative Hip2Save scenario – it’s in the Walgreens ad!! How can they not honor a deal they are telling you to do!? At least my store overrode the computer.

      • Lisa Mendoza

I know. My Walgreens told me that they weren’t supposed to be free. I showed them the ad and the manager was like no it’s wrong. The coupon is supposed to come from somewhere else. I even tried to use the printed $2 coupon – “from somewhere else” like he said and it still didn’t work. This is why I don’t shop at Walgreens like ever anymore. Couponing used to be easy there. Now, it is hard and they make you feel like you are stealing…

  19. Lily

Rite aid doesn’t let me use it because it has the walgreens sign

    • Holly

Same here. Tried to explain it’s a MANUFACTURER coupon and Walgreens is just a suggested retailer. Hate that coupons do this. She just shook her head and said, “sorry.”

    • Melloddie

Same here. Although I got mgr to scan it, it came up with no matching item found. She would have accepted it if it didn’t beep, but with it saying Walgreens AND beeping, she said she can’t take it πŸ™

    • Mindy

They didn’t scan but the guy made sure they were corected items and override them for me without any problem.

  20. Melanie

The coupon will not work because it is an online deal only, not in store. The coupon itself states online.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How odd, as this is a printable coupon to use in store.

  21. deb

Couldn’t use the coupon either here in Jersey Shore. πŸ™ wasn’t worth fighting over a $1.00. at a dollar each still a good deal. no stress πŸ™‚

    • Guest

The coupons .com coupon is a printable coupon to use in store.

I would like for someone to show them the ad where it states $2/2 w/coupon and have them explain how that scenario works.

  22. lovedeals

At my store they tried scanning the coupon but it is saying no matching item found but they manually entered it. I loaded coupon on card as well but it is not coming off. I loaded a $8 coupon for fragrance too that also not working.

  23. Tammy

My Walgreens wouldn’t accept these either. Wish I would’ve read the comments before stopped at Walgreens.

  24. meme

I tried this at one store and it went through fine, I only paid the tax. then tried it at a different store and they would not allow simply because the value of the coupon was higher than the item price.. ridiculous

  25. michelle

It worked for me.. I argued with 3 employees and I won lol they even said my coupons were fake! So I had to do separate transactions and paid tax which was 16 cents so basically I paid 8 cents a pack.. not to bad..

  26. Katrina

    Couldn’t use mine either πŸ˜”

  27. eryka

    Could not use my coupons

  28. Jen

Just went in WI and the coupons would not scan. They would not accept them.

  29. Tom Collins

I haven’t shopped Wags in years because I got sick and tired of getting mammoth hassles every time I attempted to use a coupon with a sale item. They gave me no end of grief. Finally, I simply stopped shopping there.

  30. Doreen

Just got back from Walgreens they had them for 2 for 5.00 at my store and buy one get on free too. It would be .50 for 2. still didn’t work.

  31. Lel

Went last night and tried the coupons. The clerk called the manager who said no because they were photocopied. I told him they were not and he said if it doesn’t scan they won’t accept. I was very angry at being accused of photocpoying. Went to another Walgreens where a less zealous employee forced it thru. I will be writing in to corporate as it was listed in the ad. Why do the waste people’s time or worse insult you.
