If you use ShopRunner already, please let us know if you feel like it’s a good service. I’ve never used it and I’m curious.

I used it once a year ago, and had a bad experience. The items were bought at Perry Ellis on Black Friday and the retailer cancelled the order because they ran out of inventory. However, I did not see the email about the cancellation, and called Shop Runner. After over 30 minutes on hold I was told that they have NO idea, and I should contact the retailer. I understand the difficulty of the situation, but would like to use a service that at least would have reliable information. I would, however, think that $3.75 is a low enough price to give it a try again. It may have just been a one-off case.

      • Jennifer

That sounds like a retailer issue. You purchase through the retailer, not Shop Runner.

    • Amanda

Its not as “quick” as amazon prime, but its quicker than typical shipping. You can get 2 days shipping from when the store is able to ship it out. For example, I had store that would take 3-4 days to ship it out, but then when they did it came in 2 days. Toys R Us was the worst but they no longer work with Shoprunner, maybe thats why. Overall if you use it, its nice and $3.75 is a great deal. But I rarely use it ( I get it free with my AmEx card) I mostly use it for Ralph Lauren, when Collin post good deals 😉

    • Jennifer

I like it for Cheryl’s deals and NY & Co. mostly. I have it free with my AMEX card. If you’d use it once, it’s worth less than $4. We just surprised a special person with a thanksgiving plant from 1-800-flowers bc I could send it via shoprunner with another deal for under $14, so it comes in handy for those times too.

    • Sarah

I use it for Harry and David and Underarmour quite a bit.

  2. Alex

What are the most common stores this works at? I looked at the list on their site and just didn’t see many i would ever use- thought I had seen more places before

    • Jennifer

I like them mainly for Cheryl’s deals and NY & Co. (and 1-800-flowers when I’m desperate).

    • Casey Meyers

I thought I saw more stores as well. Guess some of the stores quit being apart of Shoprunner.

  3. Paulina

What about us that took advantage of the free 6 month membership you posted about a while back? Can we buy this deal and just add it to our existing one?

    Thanks

    • Camila

I have the same question!! Hopefully someone will know and let us know. 🙂

  4. Alison

I have a free membership through American Express and am not a fan. Although they have several stores available it’s item specific so if I want X from toyrus that item may not be eligible for shoprunner. Almost everything I look for isn’t eligible. Plus the app is annoying and not user friendly. I have had this for a few years and used it maybe twice. If it wasn’t free I wouldn’t have it at all.

    • Miabellaraleigh

I second everything that she said. And… toys r us isn’t a shoprunner eligible store anymore. Only time I use my free shoprunner now is if there is a random deal posted on one of the eligible stores. I would not pay for shoprunner.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear about that Alison! Thanks for the honest feedback.

  5. Casey Meyers

Is it worth it to have shop runner. I feel like most of the stores I shop at don’t offer this. I think Vitacost does don’t remember if Amazon does.

    • Casey Meyers

Vitacost nor Amazon use Shoprunner, couldn’t remember if they did or not. Looked at all the stores that take it and don’t shop at any of them.

  6. April

It’s worth it for the 3.75 a year for sure. I used it at boston store and new york and company for orders this past week.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! Thanks for sharing April!

  7. Lisa

I just purchased this and it didn’t give me a voucher number. Did this happen to anyone else?

  8. Chris

I get it for a free trial and now free with AMEX and it’s nice to have. I use most often for Lord & Taylor, The Bonton and Toys R Us. I sent an $11 gift shipped free from Ralph Lauren too. For me the benefit is that you don’t have to meet the regular store minimum for free shipping, and moreover, the free return shipping, which is tracked. I feel that a number of stores will give you free shipping but you have to pay return shipping if you send it back.

  9. Steph

I’ve had Shoprunner for close to 3 years due to my Amex card. While its great when I get the free shipping under the store minimum, the number of stores I find it applies to is relatively small. For a few bucks, it might be worth it, but be sure to cancel before the renewal as I would never pay the annual cost advertised for something I use 1-3 times a year on average.

  10. CJ

Are you able to have your Amex card listed as the default payment method but use another form of payment when you actually make a purchase?

    • Jacqueline

That’s what I was wondering as well. I have an AMEX card through an airline, but don’t use it for anything else. I really like that my warranty is doubled with my Visa card.

      • Chris

Yes, you can pay however you want. Doesn’t have to be AMEX for the shopping.

Is Kmart part of shoprunner? I am moving to Austin where nearest Kmart is 30 miles away!

    • Tia

      Nope.

  12. rn30032

I get it free with an offer Collin posted not to long ago

  13. joannemart

I got 6 months of shoprunner free from tmoble Tuesdays! I have pretty much finished my Christmas shopping so I’ve only used it once with the reebok deal online friday. It’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so you do get free 2 day shipping but I believe it’s business days and also it depends if the retailer processes it in a timely manner. It actually says in the small writing, 2 day free shipping not including retailers processing time or something worded like that. But I’m looking forward to using it more!

  14. Tia

When Domino’s dropped out, so did I! We even had pizza more often because delivery was free.

    • Melloddie

Same here. I used it for dominos every 2 weeks back then, since they stopped I’ve ordered from them only once. Before I used to tip deliverer what I would have paid for delivery charges, but now I just can’t justify paying almost as much as the pizza itself and I def don’t want to short the deliverer cause it’s not their fault

  15. Andrea

To make this even better, livingsocial is 10% cash back on ebates! This is a great deal, even if you only use it once!

  16. Amanda

I have free shipping with $20 card purchase at Shutterfly. Looking to trade for Kohls or JCP. E-mail me at amandafreemail@gmail.com

  17. Sue

I get it free through my American Express card, but otherwise I wouldn’t pay for it. I mostly used it when Toys R Us worked with them, but now that they don’t, I haven’t used it at all.
