Yay…thank you! I was looking for this on Black Friday when they usually do it and was disappointed. I will set a reminder in my phone for this 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Jolene!

    • sparklesunkisses

last year it was on a sunday in december…must’ve been a while ago when they did it on black friday….

      • Tera B

I feel like they did it twice last year, because I remember regretting not buying any the first time, and then I did buy some the second…

  2. kim

    Is this in store only?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It will be online too! 😀

      • kim

        Thanks Collin!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          You’re welcome!

  3. Nicole

So could I purchased these at 10% off. Then purchase Disney gift cards using the target gift cards?

Going to Disney for the first time in January trying to figure out the best way to say😊

    • Katie Corbin

I was wondering and thinking the same thing. We will be there in January.

      • Emily

That is how we did it when we went! We actually bought Target gift cards on Cardpool (but this deal is better!!) and then used those to buy Disney cards. Have fun on your trip!

        • Francisca

Thank you for this…I had asked groups and they said you couldn’t do it.

          • Suzanne

Target blocked the purchase of gift cards with target gift cards earlier this year.

    • mal

We will be there in January too !! You can no longer use target gc to buy Disney gcs online, so I would double check if you’re able to in store!

    • Amanda

A few months ago they changed it where you can not buy Disney gift cards with Target gift cards, I was very bummed 😞 you can still buy with a Red Card for 5% though

    • Meghan

I checked last week, and they offered disney cards on line. Is it new that they don’t? If your red card number is saved on line, then you still get the 5% even when you use gift cards! This is what I do and you will save about $15 a ticket. Plus get some gift cards for food and parking before you go!

      • Katie

They will no longer allow you to buy Disney GCs using target GCs online. Even if you have other stuff in your cart, the whole order will get canceled. As far as I know, you can still buy Disney GCs in store with target GCs, so the max discount here is 10%. Which still isn’t bad!!

    • Tomoko

I tried to buy Disney GC using Target GC last month. My order went through then almost instantly got cancelled.I called the customer service and they told me that you cannot purchase GC with Target GC anymore. That made me sad because I saved up all the Target GC from taking surveys, GC deals etc…
By the way, Sam’s club sells Disney GC with little discount.

      • peepslob

NOOOO?!!! I really needed to buy some Groupon giftcards.

    • Lori

They will not let you buy gift cards with gift cards anymore 🙁

      • Meghan

Do you mean on line or in the store as well?

      • Britt

Are you guys sure? I’ve bought several gift cards for Cheesecake factory and Buffalo Wild Wings in store in the last several months using a target gift card and had no issues. I would check with your store first.

    • Cat

Specifically online it says you cannot buy Disney giftcards with Target giftcards. However, I do not think there is any similar prohibition in store and you should be able to do it that way.

    • staci

I was wondering the same thing. Can you buy a giftcard with a giftcard?

    • Kelly

We are going to Disney for the first time in just 10 days! I asked Target the same question and was told YES. You can not use a Target gift card to buy other Target gift cards…like using a $100 Target GC to buy 4 $25 Target GCs but you can use a Target GC to buy any other retail gift cards. Would have loved to have saved 10%…so jealous. Keep in mind that in store they only sell $25 Disney GCs but on target.com they sell $100 Disney GCs. I read on a Disney blog that you can only combine 5 GCs onto 1 GC and that Disney will only accept 1 Disney GC towards your payment. So I bought 5 $100 cards online then combined them into 1 on the Disney gift card site. Let me know if you find out different.

      • Dan

Sorry but there’s a lot of things incorrect here. You can still buy Disney GCs in-store with a Target GC (as in the system will allow it, even at self-checkout), though of course some store employees may have been trained to not allow this. Sometimes you can sneak by at the self-checkout, or if you include the Disney GCs with other items you are buying from Target and then use a Target GC most cashiers will not even bat an eye. All of the Targets near me carry $25, $50, and $100 cards in-store, so your experience may be store-dependent. You can combine as many GCs as you want online, though you can only have 5 in your account at one time. After combining them, delete the ones with a $0 balance. Also, Disney can accept more than 1 GC at a time, though if you try to give them 20 they may not be very happy!

  4. Donna

I was going to get these but since u cant use the target credit or debit card to purchase them and when u use them for payment you dont get the percentage off that u would using ur target card….so i guess ur really only saving 5% when u buy these vs using ur target card….is that right?

    • Jessica

Well if you always use your Red Card to pay at Target, you’re saving 5% on things. If you buy these ahead of time, then use them to pay, you’re saving 10%. Either way, it’s a savings, especially if you shop there a lot.

    • Rachel

Usually you get the 5% off online when shopping with RedCard even if you also add a gift card.

    • Vanessa

If you do a lot of online shopping at target and have your redcard saved to your account you can get the 5% redcard discount but pay with the gift card, so it ends up being 15% off anything you would purchase with this gift card.

      • Joan

If you use a gift card and redcard for combined payment I think you only get 5% off the amount that is charged to your Redcard. Not 15% off everything. Correct???

      • Charlie

This is totally correct. Well said

    • Mel

In buying the GC, you’re getting the discount ahead. So if get a $25 GC for $22.50, that’s $3.50 savings. If you have a $25 purchase and use your redcard, you’re only going to save $1.25. I’m going to get a few GC’s to keep on hand for grocery promo’s throughout the year!

    • Lori

True, but if you have your red card saved to your Target.com account, you can pay entirely with your discounted gift card and still receive 5% off your order for having a red card. I’m pretty sure it works this way.

      • jenn

You don’t save 5% on gift cards

        • jenn

          Target gift cards that is

        • Tami

I think what she is saying is that when you use your gift cards for an online purchase, and you have your Redcard saved to your account, you will save the extra 5% on the entire transaction, even though you are paying with a gift card and not the Redcard.

          • Katie

I have my Redcard saved to Target online and whenever I’ve used a gift card, I did not receive an additional 5% off because of my stored Target Redcard. The only time you save 5% is when you actually charge something to your Redcard. I don’t understand how others are saying they have saved an extra 5%.

    • Kelly

Target doesn’t offer five percent off on their own gift cards even with the red card. The 5 percent only applies to other gift cards such as Starbucks, chills, Disney, etc. You would be saving more than thre red card if you buy them on the 4th of December as you would be saving 10 percent.

  5. Aileen G

Do you save 5% with red card?

    • Donna

      Yes

      • Angela

        Not on the gift cards.

    • Winnie

      No you don’t

      • Donna Smith

Sorry I thought you meant in general, you cannot use your target card to buy a gift card.

  6. Sara

Thank you!!! I have been waiting for this!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Sara!

  7. Cassie

If u order stuff online with your login and pay with target gift card instead of redcard, it will give u 5% off. That is the trick I always do and do in store pick up. Not sure u have to have the redcard associate with the online account though but we have it link to our online account. And I always check if the price online and in store is different, sometimes it can be a lot diff. I just order and pick up in store instead.

    • Mel

Interesting! I placed an order yesterday using a GC as payment and did not recieve 5% off. I have my RC linked on my T.com acct and did store pickup

    • Kristen

Yeah, I think I’ve seen this work in the past, although I haven’t checked in a while. While purchasing online, Target.com added .01 cent to the redcard and the rest to the GC so that I could get 5% and free shipping! will look to try this for this sale 😀

    • Tami

I just recently discovered the price differences between in store and online. Not on every item, but some do. If I am in store, I always check the price through my phone. If it is cheaper on the Target website, I go to customer service for a price match. Sometimes the price is a big difference…magic sliders for furniture online was $14.xx and in store was $21.xx. I found a $6 difference on a set of Medela baby bottles I purchased. It’s always worth checking! They will price match one of the same item per day, though right now I was told price matching is restricted through Dec 3rd.

  8. Winnie

Is this for Target gift cards only? Can I purchase a gift card for ITunes and get the discount?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yes, Target Gift Cards only.

  9. Sarah

Does it have to be a minimum $10 purchase PER CARD or off the total purchase? I want to give all my kid’s teachers $5 gift cards but I plan to buy more than $10 total.

    • Angela

      I have the same question!

  10. Patty

Can you buy the promo gift cards with a G/C? I know I did it last year, but when I tried it during the year they told me no! (I wanted to break a big amount to smaller denominations, I did not want to lose a $200.00 gift card) Thank You in Advance!! 🙂

    • Winnie

You can ask customer service ppl to break your 200 into small amounts.

    • EconomicalBear

I did buy the promo gift cards last year with a gift card. A manager had told my friend something similar that you couldn’t buy gift cards with a gift card, but it worked perfectly fine.

    • EconomicalBear

I was also going to mention I don’t think you can buy gift cards online with other Target gift cards, but you can in-store.

  11. Emily

Hi! Is this promotion in-store only, or is it valid online also? Thanks!

    • Pon

Last year I bought it online and so it was an e-gift card. I expect this year would be the same!

  12. Lisa Craven

THANK YOU!!! I see so many of us were waiting for this deal!! After this…DONE Christmas Shopping. You and your team rock!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the sweet comment! Glad to hear you will be able to finish up your shopping! You’re SO welcome! 😀

  13. Danielle

Is this online and in store?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yes!

  14. laura

Really hope this is online too…

    • Russell

Are you sure that this is still allowed since they converted to CVS Pharmacy?

      • Karen

I have used mine since it has merged with CVS pharmacy, but you can’t use a target gift card at a traditional stand alone cvs pharmacy.

      • Mel

Target is still Target, it’s just that the Pharmacy is now run by CVS.

  15. Stefanie

I have bought these online in the past with no problem. It’s not just in-store.

  16. Karen

If you use your red card at the target pharmacy for a prescription then you do not get a 5% discount BUT you CAN use a target gift card to pay for your prescription. So with this promotion you could save 10% on your prescriptions when you use a gift card purchased through this promotion. I use all of those “bonus” $5 target gift cards that you sometimes get with a promotion to use towards a prescription.

  17. Leah

Oh my gosh you guys are geniuses, what a great idea to buy the target gift cards at 10% off and then by the Disney gift cards! I would’ve never thought of that and we are going to Disney next year also.

    • Mel

      That’s no longer allowed now.

      • Cat

Different stores are saying different things on this. For instance our store this is still allowed as verified by employees. I know other people have been reporting they can’t though.

  18. Elizabeth

If you purchase online, is there an option to have a physical card sent to you?

    • Angela

      Yes

  19. Karen

Does anyone know if we could purchase the target gift cards utilizing the 10% off and then use the target gift card to purchase Disney gift cards?

    • Nicole

      That is my plan!

  20. Chris

Best deal ever if you use the Pharmacy. Buy a gift card and use it to receive 10% off your prescriptions. And yes they still take target gc even though its run by CVS.

  21. Tonya Garbers

I have seen mixed info on this, can you then use the Target gift cards to purchase other gift cards such as Disney?

  22. Kristin

Anyone know what time this will go live on the Target website?

  23. Kellie Zollars

If in doubt whether your store will let you buy the Disney gift cards with Target gift cards, ask the customer service desk before you buy the gift cards you want to use for Disney gift cards.

  24. Louise

Do you know if you can get a additional 5% off the sale Target gift cards by using the Target Red card?

  25. Eric m

Anyone buy Disney GC with target GC thru self check? Can you do this without their assistance?

  26. Paula Izquierdo

    Hi!

I took advantage of the this savings last year…any word if and when they will do it this year?

    Paula

  27. peter

thanks, can’t wait to pick up a few!!!

  28. Jim hallman

Do you also get the the 5% on the gift card this weekend on Sunday
