It depends on the fit really. I think they are pretty true to size…. Maybe a tad small. But it depends on the fit really. I find the cheekies are a bit small (but I think they are supposed to fit that way) LOVE LOVE LOVE aerie. Last forever and feel so comfortable

In my experience, these run a little smaller than VS. I usually wear a M ad VS but even an L with Aerie is a little snug

You should get a Large, I am a Small on VS and I buy Medium on Aerie, hope it helps

I bought an AE gc at Krogers yesterday for 20% off. I used the gc to make a purchase on Aerie and also went through ebates for 4%.
I am intrigued by how much people love these undies but I can’t seem to find the right cut in them. I strictly wear the VS “hipster” style but I only see the Aerie “boybrief” or “cheeky” as comparable. Does anyone have a recommendation? I wear a size L in VS, I’m about a size 10-12.
I am also a size 10-12. I like full coverage, so I get the boybrief. I prefer a size XL.
I love the boybriefs as well. I have a lot of the VS hipster ones, but I always find myself reaching for the Aerie ones and sad when they’re all in the wash. I am the same size and get L – they look huge when new, but after the first wash, shrunk a little to a 10-12 size.
I love these also. I buy the cheekies and think they are perfect. I am 5’7 and weigh about 125. I can wear the XS and Small in these.The XS may be a little tight but not noticeable and the S a little bigger and maybe not the best choice with tighter thinner pants. But I am comfortable in both and never remember or notice what size I am wearing after I put them on! Hopefully this is helpful.
I bought these last week when it was on sale for 10 for $35. This is cheaper by $5. You think I can get a price adjustment?
I did too so I contacted cs via chat. Initially I was told to return for a price adjustment but in the end I was able to get a price adjustment. I’m not sure if that was standard or an exception. Doesn’t hurt to contact them. 🙂

Love these! I’m 5′ 80 lbs and wear an XS, which is the same size as I wear in VS
I also agree that these run a tad small. Remember, aerie is mostly targeted at juniors and young adults; their pieces usually aren’t cut to fit a lady’s curves. For example I can wear their thongs in my normal size fine, but it’s like their briefs are cut for someone with very little rear end -hard to get coverage even one size up!
So true. I’m small, but I have grown adult curves. Lol. The thongs fit great, but I have to size up for filter coverage undies.

Any recommendations on cuts that won’t show through fabric shorts and dress pants? I prefer to wear hiphuggers over thongs but all my pairs of Aerie briefs have thick leg elastics that are visible as soon as I take a step. To be fair, my Aerie briefs have lasted many years but they just don’t work with my new wardrobe.

All the vintage lace went out of stock by the time I was ready to checkout so I opted in for some of the other lace briefs and boyshorts they still had available. At $3.00 a pair, it won’t be a substantial loss if they still show through my pants.
hi, i ordered these last night with the 10/35 and of course today i saw they are 5/15 so 10/30! so i just chatted with ae and they told me they can do a price adjustment, but since my order hasn t even shipped yet, and i havent been charged, they just have to send it to corporate and it will take 24-36 h for an email of the new price to come! thanks for keeping us all informed on the latest and hottest offers!!!! So I’m reading the comments comparing these to VS. I never bought those either so not sure. I’m size 2 at grown up!! stores (like Ann Taylor) but size 4 at American Eagle. So would I get size small? Nearest store is 1 hr away so I hate to order the wrong size.

I think small would be fine. I wear a 8 in Ann Taylor and wear a medium. Depends on how much of a bottom you have to.
I am a 0-2 in AE jeans. For me, the small size of the cotton boybriefs were a little tighter than I’d like, but lace boybriefs were fine.

Becky, I think me and you have the same build.. I have TONS of these panties and just ordered more today. Xs seems to be a tight fight depending on your bum size. I’ve got them all in small and they are a perfect fit. Hope this helps
