    Is woot a reliable site?

yes, its been around for a long time and I’ve never heard any horror stories about it. ordered things a couple of times.

this is a fantastic car seat!

Woot has been owned by Amazon for several years. Has an A- rating from the BBB. I have ordered from them a few times and not had any issues.

yes I have purchase do from them before. I have a diono seat and love it. we have the Monterey 2. My daughter weighs 80lbs and we needed a larger seat. So comfortable according to her and she loves it. We did not want a traditional booster. Looking for something more substantial. The seat on the model we have is wider than most seats.

My son just turned 5. He’s in a Britax convertible. Ready for a booster. Want one with latch system. Any recommendations? Thanks

we love our diono, we had their carseat ( cant rember which one) it fits upto 100lbs and my daughter still uses it as a 5 point seat in my car. for my husband truck we bought a diono cambria, it has a latch, its a highback that can be converted into just the bottom part. its not bulky and has a high weight limit. i spent around 70$ on amazon for it. i really like diono brand, they have latch and they are good for tall kids, so i feel like i can use the same seat for a long time

Latch actually has a weight limit, so I would check your vehicle’s manual to make sure you know what the weight limit is. The limit is for the combined weight of your child plus the car seat/booster together, so keep that in mind. Car seats/boosters also have a weight limit for using latch, so it’s necessary to go by whichever latch weight limit is lower (the car seat limit or the vehicle limit) for safety reasons. Putting too much weight on the latch system can make it fail in an accident. Something to keep in mind as kids get bigger and heavier, and unfortunately not something that’s widely known. Seatbelt installs are equally safe as latch if used properly. Dionos are wonderful as car seats and harnessed boosters, but are terrible as belt positioning boosters on older children, because they have a very high weight MINIMUM before they can be used that way. For a 5 year old, I definitely would NOT get a Diono. Britax Frontiers are a great option though, and you can check a car seat group like Car Seats For the Littles on Facebookfot info from people certified in car seat safety who will be happy to recommend something for your vehicle and specific needs.

Karen, there aren’t a ton of boosters that Latch in but it is a fantastic feature to have. I’d definitely recommend a high back booster for that age so I believe your options are even more limited. We went from Britax & Diono seats to a Graco Affix high back booster and have been more than happy with it. my kids enjoy it as well(comfy. has storage compartments. easy to use) The Clek seats latch as well but are about 5 times the cost and while I’m sure they’re nice, I couldn’t justify it. this list should show you whether or not each booster seat available on the market uses latch or not: https://www.car-seat.org/forumdisplay.php?68-Booster-Carseat-Features

I’ve got 3 of these for my 3 small kids and can fit them all in a row although I choose not to. One is in the way back. Got them from Amazon for around $270 each. We love this car seat.

  7. Alyanna

Oh no, missed out on this deal. Still on the lookout for great carseat deals. Please post again Collin and team. Thanks

This seat is crazy heavy and so hard to transport and move car to car. I’ll never use it again! Save your money and get a Cosco, Graco, or Evenflo. All seats are EXACTLY as safe since they have to under go all the SAME tests. Cosco makes a nice tall narrow seat that fits 3 across now. If your a weight lifter then this is the seat for you! Other wise go for something easier to use and easier on your bank account.
