Tired of guests staying late into the night when you have a party? Those New Year’s guests just don’t know when they’ve worn out their welcome, amirite?? 😉 The geniuses over at 30 Watt have come up with the perfect solution…

Holiday Party Hanging Sign

These signs are currently out of stock until next year on their website…. however, you still have a chance to score one as they are now being sold exclusively in Kohl’s stores. They’re located in the men’s gift section of the store, and retail at $10 (though, I scored mine for $3.39 on sale this week!).

They’re IN-STORE ONLY, so score one while you can! 👍

These would also be fantastic for kids birthday parties haha

  2. Evan

That’s classic. I love this & absolutely need one. πŸ˜‚ I know ppl get tired of saying you don’t have to go home but you have to get the heck out of here!

oh I remember the days when my husband I and I were first dating and our group of friends wouldn’t even decide to do anything till like 2 am!!! We had all-nighters of game playing, movies, and late night Taco Bell runs… Now fast forward 16 years and 3 kids later and I’m in bed by 9 most nights….Oh and our NYE party this year is with other parents of toddlers (we have teens too but our friends mostly have toddlers) and they are doing a “Ball Drop” at 7 pm so the kids can still be in bed by 8!!!! Oh “20 Somethings” live it up now, because soon this will be you…

Too funny! I’m in your boat- ahhhh those were the days! Now I’m in my Jammie’s by 7:30 ( Michigan winters)

    • Kat

Lol. I remember saying to a friend a while ago “remember how in our 20s it would be so horrible if we didn’t have Friday or Saturday night plans? Now, there is no shame in staying in on the weekends, and am actually grateful for the time to rest.” How quickly things change.

I turn 20 on New Years Eve and my idea of an exciting night is staying in with a cup of coffee and a book! Pretty sure my entire time of being a 20something will be like this 😊

    • Danielle (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      SO true! lol

  4. C

Nothing quite like cleaning AROUND people and even starting laundry and the vacuum and they still won’t leave!!!

    • Susie

Right!? If it’s close friends, I’ll even change into my robe and turn off a few lamps.

      • Jess

        LMAO! This is extremely funny!!!!!!!

      • Danielle (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I’ve totally done that, too, Susie! Haha!

  5. j

This would be perf for my mil…She just starts turning off lights when she wants us to go home. Lol

  6. Anne

You can make banners like this at Zurchers Party store, that is if they have all of the letters you need.

  7. Susie

I need this by New Year’s Eve lol!!! Although, it would be handy to have when our one friend couple won’t leave….even after everyone else has!!

  8. ~jenn~

I need this sign and a piece of black construction paper!
I’ll cut an asterisk out of the black construction paper and then tape it next to the 9 on the banner.
When people ask what the asterisk is for I’ll tell them, “unless you brought wine!”

    • jen

      Haha!

    • Danielle (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Love it!

  9. Cindy

Oooo! This just what I need for my Thanksgiving dinners!! My friends and family don’t start leaving my house until 10:30/11 pm and I just want to go to bed after being up since 5 am, cooking! When you have 20-30 of your closest friends and family at your house, it’s hard to tell everyone “leave, please!” It won’t be as hard with this subtle signage. πŸ™‚

  10. Vanessa

What?!? My parties usually start at 9! Heheh

    • Nicole

      Exactly! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    • Shellyy

Lol agreed. Maybe if they add “AM” on the banner. Jkjk… lol

      • Vanessa

Or just flip the 9 upside down and make it 6am lol!!

  11. holly

I believe Target sells this as well!

  12. RZ

This must be a Western thing lol. Elsewhere, it would be considered extremely rude and offensive to even hint at the fact that you would like your guests to leave by a certain time! We actually insist that guests stay a bit longer even when they say that they have to go home, haha.

  13. Kelly K

I got that at kohls and hung it up at grandparents Christmas Eve party. It was a hit.

  14. anna

Really? I would never insult my guests this way. Boooooo!

  15. Judy

I actually thought it meant leave by 9 AM. I would be embarrassed to hang a sign like this.

  16. C

If you need a sign like this just don’t have the party… I find it extremely rude! It’s all part of entertaining…

    • Dawn

      Agreed!

  17. Susan

I am with you, find this extremely tacky. Might not be right of guests to hang around, but you should understand this is all part of hosting. Do it classy.

  18. Joan T

OMG—This is hilarious!! I love it!! Come on everyone— have a sense of humor.

  19. Diana C

The people complaining are the ones who are never invited LOL

    • Aisha

The people complaining about hosting people past their bedtime throw the worst parties anyway LOL

  20. demandmore

I need 3 of these! Then everyone gets the hint to move it along! Really, If I’m going to have a party with small kiddos at it I fully expect people to take the kiddos home to sleep by 9:00. This is gold!
Might not work for everyone’s home but I know my friends would laugh and high five me πŸ™‚
