Liquidation sales will start as early as January 6th at all of the closing stores, and most of the stores will close at the end or March or sooner.

If you live near one of these locations, be on the lookout for clearance deals throughout the store.

I’m soooo sad about my Kmart closing. I’ve gotten hundreds of freebies over the past few years. Just this week, I got the Smart Sense items and very cheap bar stools after points. I’ll still have one 40 miles away, for now anyway.

Nothing closing near me this round, but all the Kmarts left years ago. Sears is actually where we tend to buy our appliances (we also have a Sears outlet/scratch n dent place close by and got an awesome deal on a fridge!).

Our Sears store closed before Christmas and now we were notified that one of our three Kmart stores is closing. Does this seem like the beginning of the end of Kmart to anyone else? I mean how long can they sustain to keep giving back so many points and not actually make a profit on a sale? I’m not sure how it is with anyone else but I live in a fairly large town and we have 4 WalMarts and 3 major grocery chains with a total of 8 stores plus dollar stores, Aldi, BigLots, and others so I don’t see Kmart surviving long term.

So sad all the stores closing. So worried about people’s jobs.

Ugh. I had something to return to Sears now they’ll likely not take it back! 😢

It might be worth your time to try to return it. Was in our closing Kmart last night and they said if it was purchased before the “closing sale”, things could be returned with receipt.

I work at Sears and you can return as long as you have receipt.

Ours here outside the base will be closing. It makes me sad. They are the only place around that does year round layaway. I have gotten some great deals there and some of the clothing items they carry are better than the stuff at Walmart so I am hoping those lines get transferred to our Sears.

Our store had only 1 1/2 days notice of closing. Every discount had to be keyed into the computer system by had….some were missed as my husband’s jeans rang up at regular prices instead of 30% off. Glad we realized it before we left the parking lot. Returned to the service desk and the price was adjusted. Just a reminder to check your receipt…..human error which was understandable as it was a LONG, tiring job to do. This is the 2nd Kmart to close here in the past year….we lost our Sears over 3 years ago. Wish all the employees the best.
