Keep in mind this is a low-end 4K television. Love how in the specs it says fast action mr120. My plasma refreshes at 600! This clearly would not be good for sports and definitely not good for video games as you will see ghosting effect.

      Thanks for the information, Craig!

You’re welcome it’s amazing how many of these television still refresh at only 120 even 240 is kind of ridiculous compared to that of a plasma. For entry-level, this is a good deal but hate to see people regret a purchase. This one recently posted on the Oled for about double the price, if you wanted to buy a future-proof telly, Oleds are as close to the plasmas that they used to make.

Thanks for the info! I was going to get the TV for gaming but will pass. 😀

Yeah you want at least 240 for gaming! Yeah when you look at specs it might be listed as mr240 or under refresh rate: 240.
Same thing just worded differently. If you could spare no expense, like John Hammond founder of Injen, go for OLED.

And for those reading and are wondering what the heck the term ghosting is, when you see an object quickly go across the screen it looks like a white shadow that follows it hence the term ghosting effect.

Oh and if you caught my homage to Jurassic Park, bonus points awarded to you! LOL

Sam’s also has a Vizio 48′ 4K smart TV right now for $348, with a 240 motion rate.
