Oh cool! Thanks for sharing! Just updated the post with the Target link as well! 🙂

Do u have to buy games for this seprate?

    • meeksta

      Yes

    • Jen

      Yes

  3. meeksta

Gamestop is also taking pre-orders. Better yet, they are offering extra savings on top of trade-ins for the WiiU, Ps4 or XboxOne etc…worth also checking out.

    • Jennifer

The switch won’t play Wii U games so if you have a Wii U that gets a lot of use, like ours, I wouldn’t trade it in.

Trying to preorder on the bestbuy website and it will not let me continue. It is saying it will not ship to my home address and store pick up is not an option

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Are you able to grab it from Amazon Or Target?

  5. Kristina

It looks great but unless you are really into Zelda, there’s no need to be in a hurry to get it. There will be very few games available at launch. The new 3D Mario game looks super (ha!) but it won’t be out until the end of 2017.

I advise waiting the first year before buying a new console. Gives them time to work out kinks that went unsolved in beta phase. Also, more games will be available in a year versus at launch. This console looks to be a glorified Game Boy.

      • Alyssa

You don’t have to worry as much with Nintendo consoles at release as you do with Xbox or Playstation. We wait on those two but always buy Nintendo when released and haven’t had any issues yet. 🙂

    • christi321

      Exactly, new Zelda!😉

  6. tori

i’ve tried preordering it on best buy, target, walmart, amazon and gamestop and they are all sold out of presales.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, maybe click through Target and Best Buy again as I am still finding them available for pre-order there. Hope this helps!

  7. Kelly

I’m only able to sign up for email alerts on the sites. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, maybe check again in a different browser as Best Buy and Target are still working for me. Hope this helps!

  8. Kevin

you can also get 5% back in rewards through your best buy credit card but lucky me i have 10% off 🙂

  9. ADrake

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO KEEP MAKING NEW CONSOLES!?!?!?! omg my kids are gonna put me in debt lol… 😂😂

    • Jen

My 15 year old was showing me trailers for a bunch of games for the switch and Nintendo will be getting a lot of $$$$ from us. Hopefully when they do the b2g1 game deals switch games will be included.

    • Stacy

Amen! I agree ADrake. My kid saw this and I instantly became broke in my head. I do say no to a lot of things but this is something we do as a family. I just hate buying new systems. We get family to gift them instead of other toys and junk they won’t use for long but still I feel like it’s a bit ridiculous to always be buying a new system. We wait to see if it’s something with doing. That said. We won’t be pre ordering but will be following to see if we should trade in.

I was able to preorder 2. One from GameStop and one from bestbuy. Considering Nintendo historical shortage on launch date this item could be extremely hard to get after launch date. Rumor has it Nintendo has halted making anymore NES classic edition.

I preorder 2 because websites are known to over sell what they can get. If I do get 2 I will sale one to offset the cost of the one I keep.

    • vickiB

      (BIG SIGH)

      • Ilovemyjob

Brandon’s right several preorder will not be filled for suppliers are unable to fulfill all the demand. For example Dell took preorders on the NES classic and have yet to fulfill a single order. How many people had issues ordering hatchimals to get a cancellation email.

    • Ilovemyjob

Nes classic they sent 200,000 to the US while Switch is suppose to be 2 million. So in theory they will be more readily available and less profits. With that said they were selling on eBay yesterday from 450 to 600

    • Kevin

is bestbuy doing them in store too? bc last night it was sold out online 🙁

  11. Jen

Couldn’t pre order one yesterday, was sold out everywhere but was just able to get the gray one from GameStop.

  12. Katie

I was able to get one from game stop today. 🙂

  13. Kelly

I got it from Best Buy too, thanks for posting Jen and Katy! I have only done Target game preorders before and usually just pay $5. For this I had to give them my credit card for the full payment. Is that the norm?

    • Kevin

did you get it online from bestbuy or in stores?
