      You’re welcome Sarah!

Please stay away from these wipes as far as possible!!! I got a bunch of these for free back when there was a $3 manufacturer coupon and $3 Walgreens coupon. They burned my eyes LIKE CRAZY!!! This includes the whole line of Almay makeup remover items (including wipes and all the eye make remover pads and oils). I thought I was going nuts since it says Almay is the “#1 makeup remover brand.” When I returned it, the cashier also said it burned her eyes so it must not only be me.

Thanks Mina for sharing your experience. Sorry about what happened to you. Do you have any recommendations on a better brand?

      • Jen D

I totally agree with this, they burned my eyes like crazy too and I’m not very sensitive. I like the CVS brand if you are just looking for the small round eye makeup remover wipes, and the Garnier wipes in the green package if you’re looking for a towlette size for the full face (works well for eyes too). Now I love using Micellar water on a cotton round for removing my makeup which is a lot more economical than using the premoistened wipes. I like the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water (pink cap). A large (I think around 12oz) bottle of that and a few sleeves of cotton rounds are about $7 or $8 and last me about 6 months.

Oh darn! Sorry to hear it burned your eyes! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Yuck these Almay wipes and pads are not even worth a penny. Oily, doesn’t do the job, makes my face all red and tingly, and worst of all, it burns like holy fire.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! Sorry to hear how uncomfortable they have left your skin! Thanks for the honest feedback!

  5. Shonna

My Walgreens doesn’t have this sale, but does have the coupon available to digital clip. I agree with Mina they do burn and dry your eyes a bit. They are just easy to use and convenient.

I use the non oily ones and have for years. They are by far my favorite!

Sorry to hear that others have had issues!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear how well they have worked for you Tina! Thanks for the review!

Origins Well Off make up remover is great – gentle and effective! Also you can make your own eye make up remover. Most recipes require 2 ingredients that you probably already have – some type of oil (olive, coconut, jojoba, etc) and some also require a soap (Castile, baby wash, etc). Lina or Danielle might have some tips?

I actually like these Almaty eye makeup pads. I feel they do a good job removing eye makeup before I do a good wash on the rest of my face. I haven’t experienced any burning sensation on my eyes after using.

  9. Judy

I also use these wipes. There are 2 versions of them One is oilier than the other. I don’t like the oilier one but I do like the regular version,

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the helpful feedback Judy! Good to know!

  10. Susan S.

Thanks for the heads up! My daughter and I both use the Oil free variety with absolutely no issues and love them. Time to stock up!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Good! YW!

  11. Maggie

My mom and I only use these wipes-only the oil-free kind. No problems at all. In fact my mom just asked me to find a deal for them because she needs more, so thanks for the head’s up!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Maggie!

My Wags had some of the eye shadow on clearance for $4.29 with the bogo sale and they also had the 120 count oil free pads priced incorrectly at $5.29 reg $8.xx so I was able to get 4 items for $3.23 after applying $3 in rewards.I’ve used Almay for years because it does not burn my eyes but someone recommended Neutragena and Physicians Formula for sensitive eyes

  13. Kelli

I, too, have used the Almay pads for many years and love them. I like the regular kind (oily) because I use waterproof mascara. I do not like the oil-free ones, as they do not seem to remove the eye make up very well.

  14. VMTX

Love these! I’ve used the Oil Free pads for years and love them. Works great on regular mascara. Not so good on waterproof mascara. I did not like the regular kind or the CVS brand because those were the ones that burned for me.
