   Hello! Does anyone have the foodsavers? Do they work well? Do u recommend it? Can u reuse the bags over and over again?

  Amy – Can’t live without my Foodsaver! I highly recommend it. Just so you know, you can also seal other bags with it – cereal, crackers, chips, etc. The foodsaver bags are great for vacuum sealing items for the freezer and I guess you could re-use if you really wanted to, but it will get smaller & smaller with each use because you do have to cut it open. Amazon sells an off-brand that works great and is less expensive. I prefer the rolls so that I can make bags any size I want/need. I have a different model than the one shown here (although this was the first one I owned and also got it on a deal from Hip2save years ago) and mine holds the roll inside and has a built-in cutter. It’s probably my most-used kitchen gadget.

  My first sealer lasted about 10 years ~ I use it for just about anything that goes in my freezer. I’ve had corn in freezer for 2 years (it’s recommended to use in 1 year) and it’s still great. No freezer burn & no in the bag when defrosting water. For bacteria safety reasons, you should not reuse meat bags; I’ve never thought about washing & reusing ones that have had vegetables in them. Watch for coupons to save on bags. Keep it on your counter because you’ll use it often!

  Yes, but only for that month. The renewal month shipment will be the price at that time.
