  Depends on how many of the extra features you’ll use. I have the bare bones basic, and have never regretted it. It saves my arm with stiff doughs and cake batter. But if I wanted to make my own pasta, and made a lot of homemade things such as bread, I might invest in a model that has more bells and whistles.

  Steph, be sure to look at wattage of motor when you compare. This is a good indicator of how powerful the model is. As Nessie suggests, your choice will depend on what you’ll use it for. My hubby bought me one of the larger models several years ago, and I’ve used it for all kinds of things; probably could have done with a smaller model, to be honest, but am always happy to have it. Also consider whether you’ll make large batches; if so, bowl size will be important to think about (this one is a 5 qt. but some models have a 6 qt.).

   I got the 4.5 qt that you advertised at Kohls. I would prefer a mixer bowl with a handle like the one displayed. The mixer bowl on the one I got doesn’t have a handle. Does anyone here have an extra mixer bowl with a handle? Sara5721@Aim.com
