Anyone have Sprint Wireless and are you happy with their service? We live in the country and worried about reception.

    • Ashley

I have Sprint. My sister lives in the country and my reception is bad when I visit her. Everywhere else it is great.

    • MrsFelix1004

We just moved out to the middle of no where and we have bad reception out of AT&T and after researching and being on the phone with customer service for a long time we figured out we would utilize WIFI calling on our phones. It is under general settings then under phone turn on wifi calling and basically you connect your cell phone to your home wifi and makes calls through that instead of your cell phone service. I have been able to send and receive calls and messages just like when I lived in the city.

We have had sprint for almost 10yrs now. We had great coverage and moved 10min away in a new neighborhood that was not in a good service area. (No carrier worked there) They sent us a tower to hook up to our wifi for free. I know my neighbors with other carriers paid up to $350 for theirs. With it we had great service in the house as long as wifi was working but no service in our neighborhood. We moved again to another state and have great service now.

i live about 45 min from a big city in ohio, we dropped sprint almost 2 years ago because of bad reception, im talking 1990’s spottiness. we had verizon before that and it was fine (customer service was bad)….. we now have att and its has good
reception and customer service. i would ask around to people in your area and see

I have sprint, and live in town. Reception is fair. data cuts out one block from our home, then comes back. I called on it, and they told me that is the way it is, but they are working on it.

  3. Erica

Is it a 2 year contract or could I cancel after a year?

  4. Tamara

What scares me though is it is only that price for 1year. If you buy a phone usually you pay on that for 2 years. So buyer beware.

I have Sprint. I hate it. You can’t simultaneously talk and use GPS, internet, etc. without being connected to WiFi.

    • Joy

Thank you so much for your review! I multitask in all the ways you just mentioned so I really appreciate your honesty 🙂

    • Me

I have sprint and I can do all of these together! Maybe there is something in the settings on your phone.

They say one price but each month my bill is always different with Sprint. I cant stand it! We have 4 iphones unlimited data etc and our bill is always between $260-$325.I call and fight they give me a run around all the time, The service is ok. In remote areas Verizon is better looking to find something cheaper with unlimited data

You better send a private message to Sprint’s Face book. I had a trouble also, but the executive office manager called me and I got a fair price. Sprint also cheated on their customers who set up for autopay .. they announced that they would refund the money to them I got my refund by adjusting my monthly payment.

This is exactly why we switched from Sprint to Verizon 5 years ago. I have never looked back! Sprint bills always had extra charges you had to watch and then call, could never make sense of what the amount was for neither could Reps. Got old. Switched to Verizon, we might pay a bit more but billing always fair & accurate & excellent coverage.

I’ve been with Sprint 12+ years… No matter where I am, I never have much service. And when I do it’s so so slow.

My work phone is through Verizon and it always works no matter where I am. My sprint bill averages about $100 a month but that’s with unlimited data and what not… After seeing this I think I’m going to call Sprint and see what I can do to get my bill down especially since I’m always on my work phone using it since it’s so much faster!!

  8. Roxy

I had Sprint and was too expensive and signal not great. I switched to Ting. Love it.

  9. M

Sprint is getting desperate lol. I used to have Sprint and had horrible signal. Glad I switched to T-Mobile.

I have sprint an live in NY. Reception is great if you live in big cities. Everywhere else it’s so hard to get a signal. I have to save my GPS routes for offline use in Google maps. I have unlimited text, talk, and data. But I’m always connected to WiFi call so some months I’ll have like 3 minutes of calls and maybe 10 texts. It’s ok. I pay $60 a month because I split this plan 5 ways (you have to pay an additional fee for fast data and there’s taxes). The only reason why I don’t switch is because all these phone plans are confusing. I don’t know what’s better and my bill stays the same no matter what. I like their international plan, which includes unlimited texts, unlimited restricted data (sloooow), and 20¢/min calls. I know it’s not the best, but it’s free to add. Their Canada add on is free calls, free texts, and 1GB of free data.

We have been using sprint for about six years. We had US Cellular and Verizon before Sprint, for probably six or seven years each. We live in the middle of a cornfield in Illinois, with the closet Target an hour away (haha). Needless to say, we live in a rural area. We also travel quite extensively…and always have. I have found that the service between the three carriers listed are honestly about the same. Some areas are better for Verizon, while other areas are better for another carrier. But it seems to even out when looking at service areas overall. I guess look at the service maps and see which has the best coverage and talk to those in your community for their opinions. 😊

I have Sprint and we are on the unlimited iPhone plan. At the time it seemed like a good idea until I found out that I am only leasing the iphones for $50 together and give them back every year. All together I pay $200

Checkout ringplus guys, runs on the same towers as Sprint, no contract or credit checks, its prepaid service usable with any Sprint device.. Lowest service prices I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a member for like 3 years now happily. My father and I are paying only 12$ including tax each line for unlimited talk and text and 1gb of data, extra data if you need it is super cheap.

  14. Bunny

I’d suggest you strongly consider Cricket Wireless (it utilizes the AT&T Wireless network). For $35/month, I get unlimited talk & text plus 3.0 GB of data. This prepaid plan is fabulous plus you don’t pay those annoying taxes which can add a bunch of money to your bill. If you’re interested, please use my referral code. You’ll earn a $25 credit (and I will too!) It’s a no-brainer and a win-win!

I wouldn’t switch to Sprint if they paid me to have their plan. I had Sprint for over 10 years and the service was awful (and I live in Houston, which is a huge city). My calls would get dropped, my texts wouldn’t go through. My mom, who is cheaper than me, sat next to me one day and saw how slow my phone was going and told me to switch carriers. I am incredibly cheap and I paid an ETF of $100 rather than dealing with them (I could’ve saved $100 by waiting two months. It wasn’t worth it). I switched to ATT and never looked back!

  16. Kristie

We live in Bluff City, TN…..so we know what reception is like in the “country.” We have never had one problem with sprint from here all the way to Hazard KY. Our bill is always the SAME. Service has been wonderful. We were Verizon customers since the beginning when they were Bell. Customer service was always bad and our bill always had extra fees.
