I love the looks of the Gizmo cup and ordered one for my eight year old. I sent it to school with him a couple times and it kept coming back full. It’s so noisy when you drink from it that he was so embarrassed he wouldn’t use it. If you drink fast it makes a duck sound. Tried it myself. Great looking, but no so great for quiet snack time at school.

Best. water bottles. Ever!! Better than camelbak because the spout is fully covered when closed to protect it from icky germs. Also, no germy fingers have to touch the spout with the button to open and the little plastic piece you can push on to close it. My 3 year old easily uses these. They wash up easy in the dishwasher and the straw just snaps, screw on the lid and it’s ready to go. They are the perfect size too. They fit easily in my purse and hold enough for an outing with out being big and bulky. We own 3 of these.

Would this be good to send to school water bottle?
We love these so much but I don’t use them too often because a bunch of the amazon reviews show that they grow mold in the lid (in the part that you cannot clean because they don’t come apart all the way.) Not sure what causes that mold but I make sure to check them every time before filling.

You can take them apart all the the way, but it does take a bit of effort.
Not sure where the mold grows. I had to partially disassemble one not too long ago and found no mold nor anywhere it would have been hidden. I usually run mine through the dishwasher fully open. Periodically, I will scrub the inside of the straw and spout using a tiny bottle brush (dr. Browns, I think). One thing I do watch for it only using them for water. Nothing sugary.
They stay a lot cleaner if you have a dishwasher, I wouldn’t get one if you don’t. Also the handle breaks fairly easily. I bought 4 & 2 have broken handles. Otherwise great cups!

These are cute. However, they sell them periodically at Costco for a better price. They don’t have cute designs, but I let my kids decorate them with stickers and make a special custom cup!
