Just curious. Let’s say you had one on these smart plugs and you lost your smart phone. Could someone control this plug? Turn on the pot in the photo when there is nothing in it? Start a fire?
My guess would be yes but you could always remotely wipe your phone if its lost but thats also asssuming you dont have a lock screen with a password on your phone already that prevents random people from looking into your phone
Only if they can get into your phone. You should ALWAYS have a passcode on your phone. I would be more concerned with having access to any of your accounts rather than your smart devices.
You can also lock / erase your iPhone remotely on icloud.com, android phones should have a similar feature but I’m not sure if theres a general google option built in or if it varies by manufacturer.
