Do you have to be there at 9?
not really .. sometimes we go there at about 1030 and and yet others arrived later than us. Im assuming it is available until 12:)
I like to go at 10 when the crowd has thinned. However, I live in a small town. I know big cities run out fast.
With popular items like this they often runout before 11 am.
We’ve showed up at 1140 and they didn’t turn us away. Our HD is always super packed(dh hates the crowds), and they nvr run out.
I’m in NJ and they ran out at 11am. They said they gave out 240. A friend in a different state said they ran out at 10:30.
Love this one! We can’t make it. Does anyone know where they sell similar kits where kids really get to build things with hammers and nails?
I often stop by and take home a kit or two if we have other planned activities/sports and can’t stay there to complete the project. They always allow us to take them home to work on our own time.
Last month I was on a tight schedule, we stopped by almost at noon and asked if we can take the kit home to build there, they let us do it. you just have to show up with the kids.
Be warned of the paint it stains!!!!!!! Had 3 kids there last month all came home with ruined shirts.
Oh no! Thanks for the heads up Rachael!
I always skip the paint. I’ve got washable paint at home.
Yep! Ruined one of my kids shirts. Have learned to only let me kids wear clothes we don’t care about when they go.
FYI – I’ve definitely seen kids younger than 5 at these events and they’ve never been turned away.
My son just turned 3 and has been going for about 6 months, they’re never said a thing and we have even gone to different Home Depots.
They ran out at the Mahwah, NJ one by 11am. They are 240 kits.
