Just an fyi, phone won’t charge with most cases… you have to remove the case
I have a note 5 and an s6 that we charge this way, both with an Otterbox and it works!
Same, my S6 charges with the case on, no problem.
This will most definitely work with the s8, and I’ve never had any issues with charging with a case on wirelessly

I bought one of these for my Moto Z Play and it wouldn’t charge it. I don’t have a case on my phone either. The guy at the Verizon store said it would work. Needless to say I returned it.

Wireless charging is slower than charging when plugged in. U want the fastest charger that your phone can handle. Samsung galaxy s7 uses quick charge 2.0, but this is outdated, as some phones use quick charge 3.0. IDK what the Samsung s8 uses. U should check the specs on your phone before buying a charger to maximize charging speed without over spending on tech that is over kill for your phone. The charger will work, but at what speed and at what cost?
