They had these clearanced out at my target for 150$ normally 599$. I almost bought one, but I realized these only hold a 6 minute charge before dying. I couldn’t even fathom 150$ for 6 minutes. Anyhow we had a whole shelf full so be on the look out if interested.

The six minute charge is using it on high with one of the special attachments. I absolutely love my dyson v8 and it says it can vacuum for up to 40 minutes but I never vacuum that long. I normally run mine on high with the hard wood floor attachment and it last 17-22 minutes. It is amazing! Also I got mine at bed bath and beyond and they let me use the 20% off one item coupon. If you found one that cheap buy it!

I bought the V6 Motörhead from Costco and returned it within a week for the V8 Animal. The V8 has a lithium ion battery and like the earlier poster said can hold a charge up to 40 min. Honestly, I can’t say if it holds a 40 minute charge, because we run out of things to vacuum. The battery on the V6 is a joke, I even looked into if it was possible to buy a second battery to swap it out (not possible). If you can afford the V8 Animal you will not be disappointed! I purchased at Costco a couple months ago when they were on sale and I love it! The V8 is also much quieter than the V6, and the way the fan blew out the back of the V6 drove me nuts (the design on the V8 is better). There are more pros to the V8…like the way the canister empties vs the V6, additional filter, etc. If it’s not easy for me to vacuum then I won’t do it, but the V8 is awesome (I even vacuum when kids are sleeping down the hall). I joke that I’ll be passing down the vacuum to our kids…that would be awesome if it lasts that long!

That is awesome that the v8 is much better than the v6, but the v6 is the one that was on clearance at my store and this post is for a v6 as well. I can’t spend 600$ on a vacuum, but if I ever do see it clearance out I will be sure to snatch the v8. The v6 had incredible reviews but everyone said the same thing. It worked awesome for the first 6 minutes, but after that it is a pain. They also complained about having to hold down the button the entire time you vacuum. The other complaint was that after a few uses the battery lasted less and less. This is probably why they clearanced them out!
