Does anyone know what happened to the children’s throw blanket with characters or princesses that can be personalized with your child’s name? I bought several at Christmastime and was looking to buy a couple more. Are they only seasonal for the colder time of year?

    • Desiree

I’m disappointed too that they’re no longer available. I hope you’re right and they’re just seasonal and they bring them back. My 3 oldest kids each have one and I was going to buy one for my youngest this year for her birthday. Maybe I’ll be able to buy one for Christmas. They also had personalized adult zip up fleece jackets that I was going to buy for my mom but those are gone too.

      • Lisa

Like other items (clothes, shoes, slippers, etc.) I have noticed Disney Store items at JCPenney several months later, and I’ve noticed blankets there too, but you would have to take it to be embroidered somewhere else.

        • Pamela

They had a deal last week and it’s a seasonal item now there pushing the summer things. I have three of those and mine are holding up great they are super comfy too.

    • MommySpendsLess

The fleece blankets, towels and back-packs are all seasonal. The good news is that – like many seasonal items at many stores – they also go through cycles of promotions and clearance. Their girls dress-up dresses change designs anually too and are part of Halloween sales. The bad news is that I tend to hesitate waiting for the best price and sometimes the items I want sell out. I’m debating a couple beach towels right now… I know they were $12 before but I only wanted two and personalization doesn’t add value for me so they would’ve ended up $15ish after shipping. I know that they’ll go lower than $13.XX with no shipping but I have my eye on two specific designs. I also know I coukd get beach towels for $5-$12 at Target/Walmart but th Disney towels we bought about 4 years ago still look brand new even though my daughter has been using hers after baths occassionally too. Every other beach towel has gotten rips and/or faded…

Do you like having the Disney Visa Card? Do you get a good return on points for purchases? I’m thinking about getting one.

      • Erika

I have a referral link (below) for the no annual fee Disney Visa. You get a $200 gift card for signing up and spending $500 in the first 3 months. I’ve earned a lot of rewards towards Disney trips and spending at Disney store. Plus, discounts at Disney store and in the parks, plus special perks like early access to certain Disney World promotions and character meet and greets. The link will show you the details.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How odd, I am still finding many listed at $1.99 when clicking through the link above. Are you by chance on a mobile device? Sometimes that can cause issues. If not, be sure to check in a different browser. Hope this helps!

If you are wanting Tsum Tsums, check your local Jcpenney’s. (I read about JCP in the comments, the first time you posted about Tsum Tsums a couple days ago.) Mine had a sign saying they were all $1.99. However, many rang up at $0.99. Even Better! I selected the tsum tsums I saw were marked at $0.99 online; and the cashier said she would match the online price if it came up differently. — Needless to say, I left w/ 22 tsum tsums for just under $22! (Receipt said savings $110.) Enough for everyone at our big family birthday party. -Thanks Collin. — Also mini Tsum Tsums fit in the slightly wider, rounder Jumbo Easter eggs.
