Just a reminder for pet owners that this plant is HIGHLY toxic to furry friends — eating a leaf can put a cat into kidney failure. Keep them somewhere that your pets can’t get to them!

    • Catie

Thanks for the warning–I have pets that go inside and outside, and eat everything, so I better avoid these lol!

    • Gia

The pollen is toxic too. A cat could brush up against it get the pollen on its fur and ingest the pollen when they groom themselves.

    • Karen

Yikes! Thanks for letting us know!

    • JC

Yes! Highly toxic! My cat ate some of it and was super sick. Took her to the vet and vet said she would die and to make her comfortable! I cried so hard. However my cat did survive and is very healthy today. Perhaps because she threw up all the poison? Since then I no longer keep plants in my home. Everyone be super careful.

Neither of those sizes were available for me, but my local store had two of the 1.87 quart for $1 each, so we ordered those online.

I don’t have a lowes nearby, but I stopped by Home Depot, and they had all their rose bushes 50% – they start at $5.98 – so not too bad!

If anyone has an Aldi store nearby, my local one moline, IL has blooming tulips, hyacinths, and these lillies in decent sized pots for 1.50. They are probably quart sized pots maybe a bit bigger. Great looking plants!
