Try THIS Tuesday: Bryn Can’t Live Without Her Scrub Daddy
Note from Collin:
Do you have a product you love? We definitely have many favorite products here on the Hip2Save Team, and thought it would be FUN to share some of them with you! I personally love product recommendations and I’ve also had a few requests from readers, so I have asked each member of the team to think of products they love (cosmetics, kitchen gadgets etc.) and to write up a post that will be shared here every Tuesday. Bryn, my sidekick and sister, is sharing one of her favorites…
Hey all, it’s Bryn here!
One of my Favorite Products is…. the SCRUB DADDY!
No, it does not come with a daddy who scrubs your dishes (although some of you may already have one of these in your life!). The Scrub Daddy I am talking about is a scratch-free cleaning tool that debuted on Shark Tank back in 2012. I saw the product demonstrated on the show, immediately snatched one up from Bed, Bath & Beyond when I saw it a few months later on the shelves and I have been hooked ever since!
If you’re not familiar with these cleaning tools, their texture changes depending on the water temperature so they stay firm in cool water (great when you need to remove stuck-on food) and then soften up in warm water for regular cleaning. And they are scratch-resistant so you never have to worry about ruining pans or dishes.
But my favorite feature is the fact that they do not absorb odors and food does not stick to these (unlike sponges which seem to get really yucky really quickly) – so the Scrub Daddy should last you for several weeks! I literally use mine until it has basically disintegrated into nothing.
And since the lifespan of a Scrub Daddy can be up to several weeks, these are a great option for a budget-conscious family. A Scrub Daddy 3 pack typically sells for $9.99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond so just $7.99 if you have a 20% off coupon – that makes each Scrub Daddy just $2.66!

Love these posts! Thank you <3
Glad you are enjoying the posts! We are having fun with them too behind the scenes!
I love mine. Sent one to all my friends for xmas.
I love these too! They are so cheery in the kitchen. I often include one in a bridal shower or new house gift – it always makes people smile.
Great tip for bride gifts!!
I love it! Thanks! Gives me a great idea for an upcoming baby shower game prize idea! 😊
The 1-pack of these were at my dollar store, should have picked one up to try!
Oh wow! What a great find! I am going to have to check out my local dollar store for sure!
Great tip for bride gifts!!
Dollar Tree?
What brand is your dollar store? Did you find them recently?
After having sponges that would stink like mildew after 2 days I decided to give this one a go. It’s awesome. I am not looking back!
Yep, that seems to be a nonstop issue when 1 or more member of the household refuses to wring out the sponge every time they use it. I despise the smell (&despise having to throw away a stinky sponge), yet even I forget to wring it out sometimes.
Love these! I put mine in the dishwasher too!
That’s what I wanted to know. Am I going to shorten its life span by putting it in the dishwasher every day? I just can’t stand the thought of sponges not getting sanitized!
I love these. My MIL got me hooked and I sent one to my mom. Poor thing didn’t know it was for dishes and tried it in the bath!!! She asked me if mine was so abrasive LOL. 😂
That just made my day. Hilarious!
I. Am. Dying. Laughing.
that is adorable!!! 🤣
This was on “the view” TV show yesterday with the “view your deals” discount items. It’s the new scrub mommy- basically the same thing at $2/each. Go to view your deal.com. I already ordered my set of 4.WE ❤️THESE!
If it’s basically the same thing, why did they come out with the scrub mommy? Just curious which I should try and get. Thanks!
The scrub mommy appears to have a soft side and a textured side. Instead of just being made of the textured stuff.
Heather, I can’t find deal.com?
We have one from Dollar General at the soup kitchen where I volunteer. We wash a lot of pots and pans and they hold up so long and scrub very well. Not sure how much they cost at Dollar General.
Oh my goodness, thank you Collin and for your awesome team! I love these posts and have started to looking forward to them when posted.. I can’t rave about these enough. I love them, we have these and the “Skrapr” set in our home. I can’t seem to live without either one, lol. 🙂
Thx ,hip2save team ,I have not tried these, really I have not seen these. I have a coupon for, bb&b.will b purchasing these..keep up the good work .!!
I didn’t know how much I needed these until I finally bought One! QVC always has deals for these!! Love them!!
I saw this on shark tank! Cool, thanks!
Scrub Mommy is great as well. I use both, depending on the task. I can’t get enough of these. QVC sells them as well, and usually has good deals on them.
We just switched a couple months ago to Scrub Daddy. I was a die hard 3M Scotch sponge fan for many, many years. I bought the Scrub Daddy as a joke because we’d seen it on Shark Tank. It’s great! We’ve totally converted and won’t go back to regular sponges.
I use regular dish scrubbers which i bought last year at target when they were on sale. What i do is every night after i do the dishes i put the dish sponge inside the microwave and heat it for 2 minutes and sometimes if i have extra lemon i squeeze a few drops on the sponge before i put it inside the microwave and voila, it smells awesome and looks clean.
Eunice, I also do the microwave trick and it really works.
I love these too! I first purchased it at bed bath and beyond, but I found them at Walmart the other day too.
The reason it has a mouth is to clean your serving spoons etc, The eyes are for your fingers so you can swish inside a drinking glass etc. I store mine on the handle of my sink. If I have something hard to scrub, I use it first without any hot or cold water, just the rough surface. I have yet to use up my one scrub daddy. i bought 3 boxes from QVC once, and have given single ones away as little gifts.
I love these too! I love Shark Tank, see so many cool things to try. I love your Boise canvas, where did you get it!
I keep a separate Scrub Daddy to use as a vegetable brush! It works great, especially on really dirty potatoes!
My brother got me some scrub mommy for Christmas because he thought they were funny. We love them. Have to get more soon because my last one is looking kinda rough.
We are thrilled to see our happy helper is making a difference in your home, Bryn! Thanks for a great article.
TJMaxx and Marshalls have the Big Daddy version of Scrub Daddy. It comes in one big block and you can cut it into the shape or size that works for you. They are $2.99.
