   Yes it does work for grass,I tried a whole bag of this soil last year and threw some grass seed on it,and it was the best patch of grass in my whole yard.

   Sams Club has a 55gal of the Moisture control Miracle Grow for $11.55, same $/lb as the $5 for 25lb bag but a better product.
