Hey all, it’s Collin here!

Like coconut and peanut butter? (I DO!)

This is seriously my absolute FAV peanut butter! It’s my go to snack ~ one spoonful at a time. 😍 You can find this Earth Balance Coconut and Peanut Creamy Spread on Amazon, at various health food stores (I’ve purchased from Whole Foods before), and possibly even at your local grocery store.

Also, if you’re eating a Ketogenic and/or low carb diet, this peanut butter is a great snacking option! 😋 It’s got 7 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fiber, 6 grams of protein, and a whopping 16 grams of fat per serving. I personally thrive on fat! WooHoo! 💃

Have a favorite peanut butter?! PLEASE SHARE!

Banana Peanut Butter CupsBy the way, have you tried these Homemade Banana Peanut Butter Cups?! YUM, and I bet they’d be even better with this coconut and peanut butter spread!

I thought I was the only one who ate a spoonful of peanut butter as a treat, haha! I’ll have to try this in the crunchy version. I got off track with eating low carb and I’m ready to start again to get the last 20 pounds of baby weight off!

    • momo

Same here… I’ve been struggling to get rid off the last 20 lbs from my pregnancy. Baby is now 2, and the lbs are not coming off… I truly believe it was my overindulgence of chocolate cake ;-\

    • Princess

Thank you, I’ll have to try this kind. I love coconut and I also love peanut butter. I am also guilty of grabbing a spoonful of peanut butter when I’m craving something sweet (when feeling adventurous I’ll even add 1 Hershey’s kiss).

Collin, You’re worrying me with the high fat diet. High fat will led to heart disease, take it from me.

    • vmm

there’s a lot of research out there saying that is exactly wrong, actually. ketogenic lifestyles are actually known to cure many things…including heart disease.

    • Amber

That’s a myth that’s been perpetuated for decades. Like vmm stated, keto has many scientific proven benefits.

      Hi Karen,

For me personally, I thrive on a very low-carb diet filled with lots of fat and protein. For the past 2 years I have been eating primarily a Ketogenic diet and literally have never felt better. Prior to eating this way, and when I was eating a more plant based low-fat diet, I had very low energy and severe bloating as well as IBS.

I’d never heard of this diet before today, but that’s how my husband shed 40 pounds in 3 months. Low carb, low sugar, lots protein. Interesting ! I have ibs, maybe I’ll try too.

  3. isabella

I love that you’re doing Keto!!!! I’m doing it too, and never felt better!!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      💃 😍

  4. Denise

I thought your favorite was the monkey one

  5. Jules

I’m definitely getting this. I love coconut and love the ketogenic diet plan. I am finally losing weight without being completely miserable. Please share more of your favorite keto friendly products!

  6. Heather C

Thanks, Collin, I can’t wait to try this!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You bet!

I eat a spoonful of Nutella occasionally…it really helps curb a sugar craving! 🙂 My neighbor does it with peanut butter and adds a few mini chocolate chips onto her spoon. I’ve never tried that but it sounds good.

On a different note but keeping with favorites, you mentioned in a video a while back that you have a favorite dry shampoo. Would you remind me, please? I didn’t write it down at the time and I’ve been trying to find it ever since.

    Thanks!

    • Aileen

Have you tried Justin’s chocolate hazlenut butter? I think it tastes so much better than nutella. Also way less carbs and sugar. I got my niece to try it but she said she will stick with nutella. I do the spoonful of almond or peanut butter thing too. Helps when I want something sweet and tasty.

      • Pam K.

Thank you! I will give it a try. 🙂

I have a family member controlling diabetes with a ketogenic diet. I am shocked how many people an do this lifestyle!! You have such great taste thanks for your suggestions! I have found many to be quite good and interesting

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks, Sally! I appreciate the comment.

  9. Shannon

My middle schooler loves to take peanut butter and coconut sandwiches to school for lunch!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yummy! That sounds delicious!

  10. C.D.

I really like the Earth Balance creamy peanut butter but the one with coconut oil(not coconut) taste nasty to me. I thought it was going to taste like coconut but instead it just tasted oily. Thank god I was able to pawn the rest of the jar off onto my mother who didn’t really love it but didn’t DISLIKE it as much as I did.

  11. Britt

Woman after my own heart 😃 Gotta try me some! 😋

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😉

  12. J

Those that do a Keto diet to lose weight , how many carbs do you eat per day??

    • Alice

You will be in Ketosis if you eat under 20 grams per day. Most people aim for about 15 grams if they’e strict, or 25 if not so strict.

  13. Alese Rodriguez

this has agave syrup in it so its not completely keto friendly. stick with peanut butter that is just peanuts and salt! and you could sweeten with stevia and even add some unrefined coconut oil if you’d like!

  14. Jessie

Just last night I mixed a half tablespoon of coconut oil with a tablespoon of my homemade nut butter. YUUUUM!

  15. Alyssa

Love keto style!! Making pizza mushrooms right now! I wish I wasn’t allergic to coconut though. I feel like I lose out on so much yummy stuff.

  16. Kitty

This stuff is awesome in oatmeal!

  17. Luna

Aah wish you told me this last year…nevertheless will keep in mind for next year, until baby is here and I’m done with nursing. Trying to steer clear of coconut as heard it leads to excessive body hair on baby when in womb. But I’ll definitely try if there is one without coconut. Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome Luna! And congrats! 😉

    • Sarah

Do you mind me asking where you heard that about the body hair on baby? I’ve never heard of that in my life.

  18. AnnieL.

I’ve never heard of this diet until this post! It sounds really interesting and I might have to give it a try. I love fat too Lol. When I was little my mother would let me have a teaspoon of peanut butter as my snack every now and then…now that I’m about 15 years older, I still eat it as a snack. And since I buy the jars myself, I tend to have it alittle more often than she let me haha 🙂

  19. Shell

It’s all about moderation! Wish you all the best if you do go the keto route. In my opinion Keto is only for those who suffer severe seizure disorders like my son did before he passed away. Gave him kidney stones so bad we had to stop it. Just research the heck out of whichever route you decide to go. I’ve never dieted a day in my life. Will not. Eating healthy and having balance is the key.

    • melloddie

I agree with you 100%!!! I eat everything but portions is the key and i make sure to be active, even if it’s a stroll around the block helps. This is the only long term route and i never see it as a diet. Those strict diets will always fail because people will eventually break from it and as you say some will cause health problems due to certain styles of eating.

    • Shelby

Everyone is different too. I think it has to do with your genes. Some people do way better on a plant based diet. Others paleo or “keto” or whatever is trending at the moment. I personally also just believe in whole foods and exercise.

  20. jos419

So does this actually taste like peanut butter AND coconut? Or is it just peanut butter mixed with coconut oil? I used coconut oil and it doesn’t have a flavor to me.
