Body Shop Settlement
c/o Dahl Administration
PO Box 3614
Minneapolis, MN 55403-0614

Are you wondering what this settlement is about? The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA) requires that all but the last five digits of a consumer’s credit or debit card numbers be deleted from credit or debit card receipts presented to customers at the point of sale. The Body Shop is accused of providing its customers with credit or debit card receipts displaying more than the last five digits of the card number. For more information, go here.

Thanks for sharing! I have shopped at the Body Shop during the holidays, but dont have access to my statements. Hopefully I can still qualify for the gift card!

      You’re welcome!

Thanks Collin – Is there a place on your site where you have a link you can click to view the recent class actions? I know there was one recently about seventh generation.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I do not, but if you head over to the search bar you can search “class action” and they will pop up for you. Hope this helps!

Is this only for in-store purchases? Not online purchases?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It appears to be in store only, for those who have made a purchase with a credit or debit card at any of The Body Shop’s retail locations between February 12, 2011 and March 21, 2017.

If you qualify and are entitled to the gift card, you would have received an email, as well as snail mail about the settlement, a week or 2 ago.
This is for e-receipts showing some digits of your credit card on it. I don’t think shopping instore gives you an option for an email receipt…

Just re-read the email…. it’s in store purchases. The “electronically printed receipt” threw me off.
“You are being provided with this notice because you were identified as a person who used a debit or credit card at any of The Body Shop’s U.S. retail locations where an electronically-printed receipt was received at the point of sale or in a transaction that displayed more than the last five digits of your credit or debit card number during the period beginning February 12, 2011, to March 21, 2017.”

I just applied Body Shop blush on my cheeks. But, online purchase so I’m opting out.

when i click “Submit” nothing happens. i have completed all fields. no area for me to submit electronic signature, either, which is offered as alternate to submitting receipts.

    • Genv

Try removing the $ in the purchase price. That worked for me.

      • Sav

Thank you!!! I was having this same problem and was about to give up, even though I had already spent 10 minutes confirming my purchase on my old credit card statements. 🙂

      • rebecca

thank you so so much! i never would have known this was the problem, and i was able to submit with no issues after your tip.
