What’s a Factory store? I don’t shop there but thinking of getting it for my mother in law.

    • Sarah

It’s the outlet store. Love Banana Republic! They always have good stuff and deals!

Banana Republic Factory is more expensive than Banana Republic

    • Sarah

You think so? I haven’t gone a ton, but the times I have I have always been able to find great deals! Much cheaper than the actual store.

      • Sarah

PS I’m a different Sarah than the one posting above, lol.

The outlet mall is cheaper than the regular store. You will always see the store 40% and 50% at the outlet malls.

The quality is not so good at the factory stores.

        • Errrrr

I agree. The hems of my Banana factory dresses always come undone. For example, I’ve purchased a black synthetic blend camisole from both regular Banana and Banana Factory. They look identical for all intents and purposes, but the fabric on the regular Banana cami is softer, and the stitching on the regular Banana cami uses more thread and the type of stitches made adds more reinforcement (sorry if none of that is the proper terminology ~ I don’t sew) than the Factory cami. That said, I’ve found that regular Banana styles have become trendier than what I like. About a decade or so ago, Banana style was tasteful and classic without being stuffy. Things you could wear to work and be stylish. It used to be my absolute favorite store. But I haven’t found anything that I’ve liked there in over 3 years. I have found that Banana Factory styles tend to be more classic, but the quality is questionable. I always wait until dresses are marked down to less than $20. That is my personal price point for anything from Banana Factory. Then I don’t feel bad if they fall apart, LOL. Also, I wear a very very small size, so I have no trouble finding great deals on the clearance rack. I recognize that many women do not have that luxury, so your personal price point may be a bit higher since you don’t want to risk an item being sold out.

I totally understand what you mean. Even at $20 you dont feel too bad. Plus they always have really good clearance items.

Can you use this towards Gap and Old Navy also?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, only at Banana Republic Factory stores.
