Colin, thanks for the post. Did you happen to make a mental note to the size of these containers? I wonder if they would fit these trucks?

I bought 20 of them for toys for tots and won’t get them until the 15th or so. It would be fun to package them inside these containers if they fit inside, all wrapped with a bow. 🙂

It’s nice to know that you are giving back. I’m sure the kids appreciate it. That would be a cute way to package the toy trucks. Way to be creative!

I looked at Dollar Tree’s website, and if the containers sold there are the same as in the store, looks like the size is 9x6x4 inches. Hope this helps!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It looks like their dimensions are: 9x6x4-in. (3-qt.). Hope this helps!

I will have to stop in there and see if I can get some of these. Good for my nephew’s birthday in August.

Are these legit Lego brand or is it just that they look like a lego piece?

    • nk

hi i dont think they will b lego brand

    • L.G.

They are not Lego brand. They just look like a Lego. I bought some months ago.

You can see by her hand holding it, it’s a pretty decent size..Good deal.

I have 2 of these, one full of batteries (heavy). These, unlike a lot of dollar tree bins, have held up well. Sturdy and no cracks.

I need this for batteries! My little cardboard box is falling apart. Thanks for the tip!

      • Tanya

I use an old baby wipes container for my batteries

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good to know how nice they are! Thanks for sharing Rachel!

I use them in my pantry to hold small items like taco and ranch seasoning and one for Crystal light juice packets. So far so good.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great idea! Thanks for the feedback!

Looks like the size is perfect then. I could put the whole thing in the plastic container if it does measure 9x6x4. The truck measures 4.5″ L x 3″ W x 3.75″ H according to the Hollar website. Thanks everyone.

If you’re using these to give a gift, it’d be fun to personalize it by putting the child’s name on it with letter stickers. Not sure if Dollar Tree sells them, but 99 Cents usually has them. Or Michael’s, if you want to spend a little more.

    • Liz K.

We’ve bought letter stickers at dollar tree before and used them for school projects.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome idea! Thanks for the suggestion Dara!

We bought a bunch of these last summer and my daughters use them to hold their smaller toys like shopkins, etc. Definitely gonna look for more.

I almost bought some of these last week to organize my medicine cabinet but I didn’t think they would be tall enough for bottles of kids medicine. Now I’m wondering where else I can use them to organize…

  11. jen

Just a warning. These are very flimsy, I bought them for my kids toys and they did break easily. If your children are very gentle with there things they would work great but my all boy 5 year old broke them almost immediately.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear they did not hold up! Thanks for sharing your experience!

My son needs these for his legos! Hope ours has some in store

  13. Suzy

I went by my store today and they don’t have them. What I did find was single 100% cotton kitchen towels, 2 pack dish cloths with scrubby backing, 2 pack square pot holders and single oven mitts. I got a lot of sets ad put them in my gift closet. Perfect for a quick pick me up to someone. Who doesn’t need new kitchen towels?

  14. Ashley

My son has TONS of Legos! Thanks so much! I got two of each color (blue, red, green) and I’m thinking about building a shelf or something to stack them on by his Lego table!
