Gosh such a good deal but if never use it all up before it expired!

    • Brandy

We go through at least a bottle a week! I have two fair skinned kids, we love outdoors and I’m a runner. I can never have enough on hand. Down to my last 10 bottles of crazy target clearance and it will be gone in 2 months.

      • SJ

Haha I am NOT a lover of the outdoors lol we might go swimming once or twice this summer.

Research before you buy if you have small kids. This is on the worst product list for burning little ones. They can have an allergic reaction and end up with serious burns. Always a good idea to test a small spot on the kids before vacation. I just saw an article where a one year old ended up in the ER with 2nd degree burns on her face.

    • Greta

Really? I was just recommended this product after I discovered my youngest son has allergic reaction to sunscreen

    • Holly

I think you’re thinking of Banana Boat?

      • riss

I read the, article and it was Banana Boat. That poor kid had possibly an allergic reaction to the sunscreen, accdg to the doctor. Personally, I love Banana Boat kids or babies, doesn’t give me a breakout, unlike the chemical sunscrens.

    • Happymama

My daughter had a reaction to Banana Boat and can only use Coppertone. The ped. recommended it and we’ve been using it with no issues since.

  3. Nicole

Water babies is the only sun screen my daughter can use. She’s allergic to all other ones. Been using it for 7 years now.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear how well that one works for her! Thanks for sharing your experience!

    • Nikki

      Thanks, the website was helpful!

    • Joanna

The EWG is not a good source.

  4. Sue

If you are having problems finding a good sunscreen. There are foods you can add to your diet to help protect you from the sun. I believe it is leafy greens and vegetables. If you think about it it makes sense. They are in the sun all day and they don’t wear sunscreen.

  5. Sheri

I think with the second example with the waterbabies purchase of 4, you are eligible for 2 movie tickets. It is one ticket with the purchase of two and there is a limit of two tickets (in my mind, purchase 4). That’s what I’m hoping as I bought 4 yesterday at Target and waiting for the text reply 🙂

    • tana sindlerova

keep us posted! I’m gonna try the same!

      • Sheri

Yes, that is correct. I submitted my receipt with four Coppertone products and was texted back with two redemption codes for two tickets 🙂

        • brooke

Hey Sheri! Quick question…Did you get them at the same time or different times? I got one code, but not the second one. 🙁

          • Sheri

Brooke…mine came in the same text. They are 14 digit codes and I have two of those in my one text reply. Hope that helps! 🙂

  6. campanita

I bought 2 sunscreens at CVS yesterday, I have been trying to send a picture of my receipt many times but it comes back as failed every time. Has anyone been able to do it?

    • Holly

      Mine too.

      • Sheri

Yes, I did it yesterday. Make sure you text it to 47056. Here’s the online link for instructions…

        https://www.coppertone.com/movie/

I received my redemption codes today, so it was about 24 hours after I submitted the text.

        • campanita

I texted the number with the word COPPERTONE and followed the instructions the first time I sent my message, and keep trying every day but it Keeps showing as failed. The bad thing about this promotion is that you do not have the option of submitting your receipt on line, like other promotions do 🙁

          • Holly

Are you a Cricket customer? Try downloading the app “GoSMS”. It bypasses whatever Cricket has wrong with their network that doesn’t let some customers MMS messages go through.

  7. Erin

Ours are all priced $8.99 🙁

    • krista

      Mine too!

  8. Laraine

Unfortunately, the coupons are not available in California.

  9. Lisa Carpenter

    I can’t find the coupon anymore… ???

  10. theseattlemouse

    Make sure you price check.

Our Coppertone Sport 30 SPF aerosols had signage that said “New Lower Price! Now $5.59”

So, I ended up grabbing 2 plus 2 Banana Boat Sport lipbalm sunscreens to meet the GC purchase requirement.

  11. Mel

My SS today has a $5/2 coppertone q!!

  12. Sharonl

Just tried doing this deal & the cashier took the coupon first & said I couldn’t get the $5 GC bc it didn’t meet the $15 purchase amount.

    • SmartShopper

Sharonl: Have the cashier scan your barcode first (for the $5 gift card) and then hand her the mfg coupon second. Once the cashier did the mfg coupon first, you didn’t meet the spending criteria. So, it must be in the order Colin posted: scan barcode first and then hand over your paper coupons. You could return the sunscreen and then try and do this deal again. Hope this helps.

      • Sharonl

Thank you, Smart Shopper! I told the cashier I didn’t want the sunscreen (because it defeats the purpose of this deal). I figured that’s what happened, but the cashier said they are required to take the coupons first, then any CW or promo offers… She wouldn’t re-do the transaction though… Today is another day! I will try again today with the order you mentioned. Thank you so much!!!
