Graco just announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Graco My Ride 65 Car Seats as the harness webbing can break in a crash and may not keep children restrained.

The affected seats include model numbers 1871689, 1908152, 1813074, 1872691, 1853478, 1877535, 1813015, and 1794334 – these seats were manufactured on July 22, 2014 and have a code of 2014/06 on a tag that’s on the webbing.

If you believe you may own one of these affected seats, click HERE (or try the link found in this Facebook post) to verify if your car seat is included in this recall and order free replacement kits by entering the model number, date of manufacture and webbing tag code. Check out the Graco Facebook page for more information.

NOTE – The Graco Baby site is being inundated with web traffic so you may want to check back later today.

    Thanks Collin!
My seat is one of the models, but a different maufacturer date so we are good.

What is the point of filling out those registry postcards and sending them in if they don’t notify you when there’s a recall??

    • monmabla

Good point! I always fill them out on carseats — you would think they would automatically send us the replacement parts….

    • Brianna

They said over the phone they will be contacting those affected if they have turned the registration in; I just called so I wouldn’t have to wait.

  3. monmabla

Hmmm….my 2 year old has this seat and we purchased in October 2015. Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll check the date!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

This is why I never buy Graco products, seems like they are always getting recalled! Thanks for sharing.

I totally agree! I will stick with my chicco car seat

  5. Sarah

Thanks for sharing! We have this type of car seat but it doesn’t match our model # or year of production. Shew! Thank you!

      Good! You’re welcome Sarah!

FYI- I just received my Britax stroller recall replacement parts kit in the mail yesterday. This took months to receive and I was about call them to follow up.

  7. Candice

My son’s carseat, is manufactured in 2013. Phew. That’s scary!

  8. S

My car seat is the one pictured on your post but numbers don’t match up! Must have been made after the fact! Thank you for posting so I can check

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!
