Do they ever have any sales on water heaters?

    • Kelly

My Home Depot accepts competitor coupons, like Lowes and Ace Hardware. I’ve heard that some stores will even accept the Harbour Freight coupons but not all stores. If yours will, Harbour Freight always has coupons in the mail and Valpak for 20 percent off any one item. Combine coupons with those discounted gift cards and hopefully that will help!

I just bought a water heater from Home Depot that I was able to get a $600 rebate from our electric company PLUS a $300 tax credit when I filed my taxes this year. Means I only paid $300 for my heat pump electric water heater. Not to mention I save $100 on my electric bill each month!!

When we got ours they were marked down 50 bucks off because they were clearing them out for a new model. My husband is a contractor and says they never go on sale

    • Diana

      Thank you!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh wow! Awesome find Beth! Thanks for sharing!

The only way to save money would be to get Home Depot gift cards at a grocery store that offers fuel points for buying them my grocery store offers a dollar off per thousand points and it is good for 35 gallons per fill up

    • Liz

      How does that work?

      • Vonda K Borer

Liz – you’ll have to find out what stores around you do that. It tends to be regional (Giant Eagle in Cleveland/Pittsburgh – Kroger in their area etc.) Home Depot has a mobile coupon – check their website and you can text for something like $5 off a $50 and sign up for emails and get stuff like $5/$50 lawn/garden and other specific deals.

Any dishwashers on sale this weekend?

    • me

A Lowes salesman told me that memorial day and black Friday have the best appliance sales. Black Friday being the best.

    • Helen in Meridian

There is a big sale on large appliances at J C Penney this weekend.

Great deal on the patio dining set! I went through shopathome for a little bit of cash back, too!

    • dblD-amber

We picked it up for the lake house. Can’t beat the price

  10. Jess

Lowes has their mulch on sale for $2/bag…FYI

  11. Jo

Home Depot also has a different brand mulch also on sale for $2 a bag.. idk why you’ve only mentioned the one.

    • Christine

I was at home depot today to pick up a Gorilla 17 ft telescoping ladder on sale for $119.00 and mine had the mulch on sale 4/$10.00, not as good as the Lowes add 5/$10.00

      • Jo

There’s a brand called Vigoro that is in the Home Depot weekly ad for 5/$10. I was also able to order online and pickup in the store, but I did see pallets full of the $2 as well as the $2.50 mulch when I was there today.

When I clicked on the “Hampton Bay 7-Piece Patio Dining Set” link, it’s actually $74.25, not $99!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh wow! I am not seeing that when I click through. I’m wondering if they might be on clearance at your store?

  14. Tara

Target has the same patio set for $99 in turquoise. If you do same savvy couponing there with their gift card promos you can save some serious $$. We picked ours up for $50.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Cool find Tara! I can’t seem to find that one.

  15. Rebecca

When does Memorial Day sale end?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It appears to run through May 31st.
